Second Day Hair-HELP!

My hair is very very thick, and it knots up really bad. Every morning I have a huge knot in the back of my head and I have to spray a lot of leave in conditioner and try to comb it out with a wide tooth comb to get it out, then it looks like my curls back there are smoothed out. Can anyone help me decide on better products I should be using? I'm thinking I need more moisture and a heavier conditioner?

If that's the case, it might be that you're using products with protein in it and your hair doesn't tolerate protein so it's drying out and tangling. It's a tendency with coarse hair. [I'm just offering that as something to consider. My hair likes protein just fine, so I schedule in regular protein treatments.]

Other than that, it does sound like you need a deep conditioning treatment. Tangling isn't an issue for me when my hair is well-conditioned and moisturized.

Sealer: *DM Super Buttercreme*

Goal: APL Hair
Tangled hair usually means dry hair, so you either need a better conditioner/leave-in conditioner and/or do a good deep conditioning treatment. I used to have this problem too until I found a good conditioner and started doing deep treatments. It should detangle in no time!

2c/3a, low porosity, very fine and barely holds a style!
Low-poo: Kinky Curly Moisturizing Shampoo
Co-wash: Suave Naturals
Leave-in: Nature's Gate
Gel: KCCC
Do you sleep with a satin bonnet on? Or on a silk pillow? That may help reduce the dryness and the tanglyness that happens over night.
