Rushing out the door with *wet* hair

Lots about going natural is still new to me. Today's "new" experience: -- Me about to run out the door with WET hair. First time since going curly with NO time to diffuse a little. Before going curly, I would have smoothed on LOTS of Frizz Ease to get me by, but since I'm not doing that anymore, I'll just have to wait and see what kind of hot mess my hair is later today. :tongue5: :laughing4:

I'm convinced that part of "going curly" = "adventure living".

A good, curly hair day to everyone!

Ha! Let us know how it turns out. It's so much fun when the weird, random things we do to our hair on accident turn out great. Hope it does for you! And, more power to 'ya! I would never run out the door with wet hair, unless I brought some LOOB along with me. :D

lol that is me pretty much every day. I never have enough time (or real desire) to diffuse so I go to work w/ wet hair.

LOL I had the same kind of morning. I forgot to put gel in my hair and started squeezing out all the water with the t-shirt, so just went ahead and scrunched it dryer and then put less gel.

It didn't work as well as the usual routine but not disasterous by any measure; just curlier in the curlier parts and straighter underneath - gel is a great moderator for me and makes it all look like loose curls, which is my favorite.

My hair situation actually would have been fine, IF I hadn't screwed up -- I thought I was supposed to be one place much later, instead of a totally different place much earlier. :laughing3:

But no problem. I kept my hair expectations low and put it in a quasi-French twist. I was pinning down random curls at stoplights. When I got home, of course my hair was still damp, but it worked well enough. It just WASN'T a very pulled together look.

The good thing is that this situation shows me that I have to develop a go-to "emergency" haircare routine (if that makes any sense). :D

Because I'm still learning proper care of my curly hair, for weeks now I've been scheduling my hair washing/styling time for when I knew I'd have enough time to play around with it and learn something "curly". You know,...weekends, evenings, other down time when my husband has the kids occupied, etc. But that ain't gonna work when I accidentally throw a monkey wrench into my regular daily schedule and remember an appointment at the llllllllaaaast minute...Oops!:laughing6:.

All just part of the curly hair adventure!
