Is it just me, or do more of us use Curl Junkie than Jessicurl?
I have both CJ and Jessicurl in my supply box, but I haven't tried the Jessicurl yet-am going to try it tomorrow. I noticed, looking at a lot of signatures, that not a lot of us use Jessicurl cleansing or styling products. Can some of you enlighten me as to why you prefer CJ over JC? Thanks.

Product Junkie-love anything CJ. Used to love KT and KCCC, but lately doing nothing for my hair but flattening it.
Am experimenting with products to see what works for me. Seems like I get different results every day even if I use the same products!

My hair just likes CJ products better. My guess would be mag sulfate in Jessicurl that is an issue. My hair looked stringy and dry-greasy with it.
It made me wonder if it did better on 3 and 4 hair better than my waves.
I have tried Jessicurl twice and could not get it to work either time.

Hmm...well, I personally have never really tried any boutique-type products, but I did get a couple of samples of Jessicurl once from a salon (the Hair Cleansing Cream). I LOVED it, but I can't compare it to CJ because I've never tried that line. To add to JaJC's opinion, which is a valid point, I think lots of curlies in general have finer hair -- more people on here have fine hair as opposed to coarse hair (or at least that's what I've noticed). I've heard that Jessicurl is super moisturizing and has "heavy" ingredients (oils and butters and conditioners), and CJ is supposedly lighter and has some protein. I'm not sure as many JC products have protein. So, if fine hair is kinda the "majority", then I'd assume most people would opt for CJ. I'm sure lots of people have their own personal reasons and likes/dislikes, though!

I agree, more people use CJ on these boards than Jessicurl. I think the mag sulfate in the Jessicurl line can trip up many a curly.
Although I think the CJ line in general has way more products than Jessicurl so there's a greater chance a person will find something they like. I personally like CJ way more than Jessicurl; the only product I really like is the Rockin' Ringlets. Confident Coils made my hair droopy and Too Shea was nothing to write home about!

i tried both..at the time i thought i liked jessicurl..i thought it was okay...until i tried curl junkie..it was so much better. the jessicurl made my hair stringy and feel gross..i cant put my finger on why..it just felt gross and greasy. I like curl junkie waaaay better. but I'm not sure how often i will use it because of the price plus its a B*tch to get out of the bottle.

I agree about the CJ being impossible to get out of the bottle, especially the Daily Fix. But it's still one of my favorite products.

I mix a small amount of Confident Coils with my other products to give it more hold. I used to love Jessicurl but it seems like something changed and the conditioners made my hair puffy.
