My hair is so dry!!!
Hi all. Lately I've moved to more of natural conditioners, I use Yes to Carrots and use a natural gel, no cones, no sulfates, none of it. I also air dry my hair, but lately it's like my hair has gotten so freaking dry. The ends of it get dry and brittle and I have no clue why. Any thoughts, I leave a good deal of conditioner in my hair so I don't understand why it would still be dry. I also haven't had it colored in about 7 months.

Maybe you need a good deep conditioning.
Or maybe you need to try sealing your hair after you put in a leave in with an oil.

I second the other suggestions. When was the last time you got a cut? Maybe you just need a good old trim!

Oh, too funny...I *just* posted a Q about sealing. (So much out on this forum to read through, and I missed this thread) I'm always looking for ways to add moisture.

Keep in mind that just because your conditioners are natural, without any sulfates or silicones, doesn't necessarily mean they are full of conditioning ingredients. I haven't tried Yes To Carrots, but it could be that the conditioner isn't moisturizing enough for your hair. I also have to rotate my hair products to keep my hair looking its best.
The other thing you could be experiencing, if it has just started happening is the weather. My hair has gone a little crazy; it does with the change of every season. I have to tweak what I do to it. It usually takes me a couple of days to get it going right again.
Do you use a leave-in? If not, it could help. Some of my favorite conditioners are made by Curl Junkie; I also love Sevi Pumpkin Seed conditioner. For leave-ins, I love Marie Dean, Curl Junkie Curl Fix.
Good luck ... If you haven't had a trim, it can never hurt to get the dry ends removed.

Oh, I just thought of something else. There's been some discussion on a thread I started about the Yes To conditioners, and some people figured out that the Dead Sea Salts in there were drying their hair out. Maybe this is you? Maybe you should try another conditioner for a little while and see what happens or if anything changes.
