Default Maintaining my curls

Hi there,

My hair type is between 3b and 3c and I'm trying to find out what the best way is to maintain my curls. I used to wash my hair every day or wet my hair to comb it, but that seemed to cause a lot of dryness and breakage. My hairdresser told me to comb my hair before going to bed and braid it. I've been doing that for a while now and it seems to reduce de breakage, but I've read not to comb your curls when they are dry. Since I've been combing it my curls are not as curly anymore. What I'd like to see is the same effect as when I just washed my hair, more kinky curls, not wavy ones.
Can someone please help me out?!

Tnx!

Welcome! We're glad to have you.

Are you combing when your hair is dry? I wouldn't do that. Just pull it back in a loose braid, as is, at night.
