I just discovered the TJs. Is refresh the one with the citrus in it? That's the one I've been using. It's fine, but really thick. Usually I like that, and it doesn't FEEL really waxy, but it's stiff-thick. It's cheap, but Suave Citrus Smoothie is cheaper...it's a tossup .
There's an Avalon in a blue container, Mango & something, that a lot of people like. I went through 2 bottles, I don't like it unless I add a lot of honey to it, but that's just me. Some very reputable curlies LOVE it.
Nature's Gate Hemp got me through the holidays. EDIT: That must be a major Freudian slip! I looked at the bottle last night and it's HENNA, for shine, recommended for dry & frizzy hair. I guess the holidays were a little stressful!
(my dogs aren't snarly, my hair is)
I wrote a couple of threads about the Avalon Organic Botanicals Lavender S+C not too long ago - doesn't work on my hair, and my scalp didn't like this stuff at all. Maybe good for someone with virgin, oily hair and tough scalp. They changed the formula - it used to be pretty good!
I got the Nature's Gate Moisturizing Aloe condish yesterday, along with the NG Asian Pear & Red Tea one, plus Desert Essence Shea Butter conditoner. I haven't tried the NG Aloe yet, but I tried the other two and really liked them. The DE Shea Butter was thin but had very good slip and was moisturizing, although the smell was like plastic. The NG Asian Pear & Red Tea smelled wonderful and was very thick and moisturizing.
I haven't used the NG Rainwater and Tea Tree condish, but I can vouch for NG in general - I've used three different condishes of theirs (depending on the weather), and I get consistent great results with them. They give me great slip, and they're good as a COwash, too, IMO. I hope you find a condish that suits your hair well!
3B Corkscrew... I'm back on the boards now! Just got The Big Chop on Monday, pics coming soon.
