Did Kenra discontinue their Intensive Emollient Treatment?
I can't find it anywhere. I tried ordering it online through various online stores, and all have come back saying it's not in stock, and Trade Secret no longer carries it. Please say it isn't so....

I don't see it on kenra.com so that's not a good sign. Now they have something called "Nourishing Masque."
I did find a link to it from the Intensive Emollient Treatment from the FAQs.

Oh no. This is not good. I do not see the Intensive Emollient Treatment on Kenra's website. I haven't bought any for a long time because I had stocked up so well....now I'm nearly out! Darn it!
Kenra has a new (to me) "Nourishing Masque" that may be a replacement for IET. Of course, the Nourishing Masque is more $$ than the IET was...not to say that the IET was cheap. What is troubling to me is the fact that the new masque "imparts highly polished, radiant shine." Sounds like a 'cone to me! The key ingredient list doesn't include a 'cone, but it's not a complete listing of ingredients either.

I heard a while back that it has been discontinued but I did a search and you can still find it at a few places online.

Yea, I've tried 2 places that showed it online, and each one cancelled my order
This was my Holy Grail. I have no idea what I am going to use as a replacement now

It was my Holy Grail as well, for years. I sampled Jessicurl's WDT and it was close to the IET. The shipping costs are just killer with those products though!

You know, I was actually going to try the Jessicurl WDT. You say it's pretty close to IET huh? I have to place an order or some conditioner anyway off curlmart, so I may go ahead and give that a shot as well. Does anyone have any other deep conditioners they recommend?

The WDT was very close, but my hair just didn't seem quite as silky after the treatment, even with heat. The WDT is still a very nice product though.

Thanks for the link! Okay, so the new masque contains amodimethicone....a no-no for those of us who are CG, right?

That's good to know! I thought Curly Chemist's article said amodimethicone needed to be removed with a harsh shampoo. I guess I misinterpreted something! Thanks for clarifying for me!

There are different opinions about this. I'm inclined to believe the Curl Chemist over Devacurl because she has nothing to gain by sharing this info.
The most important thing to consider is that everyone's hair is different so one person's amodimethicone buildup is another person's no-biggie.

have you tried ordering from this website http://www.stuff4beauty.com/catalog.php?item=343 they have excellant service. The web site is usually updated and it shows they have the product in stock in the discontinued items. It would be worth a shot

Crap! I hadn't even seen this thread, and I just went looking for this the other day. I noticed that Kenra has new packaging, so I figured that they hadn't received the entire line yet.
I love that stuff.

Thanks for the link Missy! I wasn't familiar with that site. Unfortunately, this a.m., when I checked on the IET, it says out of stock. : (
