Default anyone combine gf soft curl cream with something for hold?

I love the curls that I get from soft curl cream but one gust of wind and they're gone. has anyone had success combining it with something else?
2c who can't seem to find enough moisture! Trying to figure this out once and for all 7 years after going CG!

I always used gel over this
Low porosity, medium texture.

If it smells good put it in your hair, if it tastes good spit it out!

I use GF Curl and Shine leave-in conditioner and gel with it. I never get the crunchies when I use those together. The SCC is more of a finishing product for me that helps tame frizz and define a little better after my hair is dry. I love the SCC, but it seems to be (for me anyway) one of those products that works its best when used with other products.

The time that I tried the GF SCC (not realizing the dimethicone in it), I topped it with HE SMU gel and it was a really good combo. My hair lasted me a good 3 days without having to start over. It was a great combo, I must say!
