A/G Re:Coil - WOW! WOW! WOW!

Oh God. So the pj in me went ahead a bought some Re:coil since I read the thread about Curls Spiral Curls Cream changing their formula. I asked if there was a substitute for SCC and someone suggested Re:coil.

MY HAIR LOOKS FANTASTIC! I mean, FANTASTIC. Gorgeous curl and wave definition, volume, shine and softness.

If this keeps up (today was the first day I used it) then this is a true HG product.

I took everyone's advice and used only a small amount, two pea-sized dollops total (one for each side and the back).

My hair type is 2/3 with waves and curls, lots of frizz, coarse, thick and on the dry side. Hair hates protein. I am always looking for volume, shine and curl definition, with no crunch and I don't like a lot of hold. I don't do CG but like to use products that rinse out with just water and/or conditoner since I only wash 2 or 3 times a week.

Here is what I did, in detail, in case anyone is interested:

Washed and conditoned (wanted to start fresh) then before I got out of the shower I flipped my hair upside down and added some more conditioner (Suave whatever, nothing special) and scrunched it in to my soaking wet hair. Then I just immediately plopped into a towel and left that on for about 5 minutes.

Took off the towel, parted my hair and scrunched in the Re:Coil. Let my hair air dry for 35 minutes, then diffused for about 3 minutes. I added a drop more Re:Coil and used it to twist a couple of pieces around my face.

AWESOME HAIR. I really hope this stuff is consistent because I love it!

Thanks to whoever suggested it!
HG's: (I alternate)
DEP Sport Gel, B&A Gel, Aura Naturalle Gel
(gel from mid-length down only, all used over a leave in)

Method: Air dry 20 minutes, then blow dry for volume.

2/3 mix waves/curls - coarse, frizz prone, med. thick, porous, at-home color for gray, protein sensitive but I still need it sometimes, glycerin-sensitive (I think) in high humidity, NOT CG but like stuff w/o silicones and that rinses out clean, wash with regular S&C 2x a week.
Well congrats on finding something you love in your hair! For the past three years I know that recoil has been the same so hopefully they'll never change it on us. Lovely stuff!
2c/3a?

But this? This stuff rocks and it's CG friendly. Whoo!

I love it too!!

If they ever even think of changing the formula we'll all have to chain ourselves to their door in protest

you guys are killing me! just killing me!

I hope I get mine this weekend. My SIL was supposed to pick me up a tube and I'm hoping I see her this weekend.

Now I'm kicking myself because I didn't ask her to see if the salon had Fast Food, too.

Sherry they have a salon locator, they might have it near you. It's sure nice to avoid shipping when I can.

Hi,

Thank you so much for the salon locator link-everyone here is always so helpful!

Now if I can just get my slow computer to load the site Hopefully there is someplace near me that has it. I found a mall forty minutes from me has Jessicurl, so that's one product line down.

Take care,
Sherry
I'm off to go get my recoil.

I'm really liking Re:coil since I finally figured out how to use it. Although I'd go for long stretches at a time without using it, it's taken me around a year or more to figure it out !
CG-modified since 4/05

i just got it...how is everyone using it?
i use it on semi wet hair.. i find that if i spritz some water in my hand and use about a pea size amount of re:coil . rub my hands together and rake/scrunch it in works best for me..then i diffuse halfway , mabye srunch in some boots with it and diffuse the rest , nice clumpy curls i get .

I apply about 2 nickles to quarters size blob (i have long hair, so it depends on thickness and length of your hair) to very wet hair right after applying my leave-in. I smooth it over the whole lengths of my hair while my hair is flipped over , and then again straight up (to make sure I get both the outer areas and underneath) then whatever other product on top (gel, mousse). Then I start scrunching my hair like crazy with thick, absorbent paper towels and plop for around 15 mins, then diffuse. It's good stuff!!
