im about to use my micro heat cap...

do you wear a shower cap or something to keep the product from getting all over it or just put it directly on the hair?

If you're using it for a DT or something, put a plastic shower cap on first. If you're using it to plop, then no cap.

Plastic shower cap. You can get disposable ones in big packages from Walmart for really cheap in the "ethnic" section.
