Best products for really cold low humidity weather?

Any recs? We normally have damp rainy winters but this year has been super cold and dry what do I use??????? TIA :^)

I too have 3A easily weighted down hair. But my hair is also fine and thin to boot.
I see what products you are currently using in your sig. None of those worked for me :(
I live in the high desert and our winters are cold and dry. UGH! Makes for ugly hair.
For my hair, the most important item is the conditioner. I've used all the suaves, the V05's, one C, no poo, low poo, and a few others with the same results (flat hair).
BTW -- I'm currently using totally twisted gel and a small amount of scrunch spray by beyond the zone.
Someone suggested Nature's gate poo's and condish. I was so fed up spending so much money I wasn't going to get it.
But I did. I ended up getting the daily shampoo and the awapuhi condish and that made all the difference in the world. My hair feels so much lighter and it's curlier and I'm actually getting second day hair with my styling products.

Thanks Darby I live in Canada and my local grocery store sells Natures gate it would be a dream come true to have a HG I could get locally. Have you had success with any other types or just the awaphui (sp)
is the shampoo sulfate free?
Have you tried SMU gel? I had no luck with it thats why I am hesitant to try TT. Oh well for the price I guess I can let my DH use it up if it doesnt work :^)

I haven't tried any of their other conditioners. I think I'm going to get a more moisturizing one to alternate with the awapuhi because I feel like my hair is getting a bit on the dry side. I clarifyed last night and used a deep condish and my hair feels better today.
The shampoo in not sulfate free but it's down the list. I have tried SMU and I didn't like it. It weighed my hair down too much. I've also tried the body envy mousse and didn't like it. I was going to get the gel but everyone said that body envy is alot like SMU so I didn't want to even try it.

Darby & I live in the same state, so I'll chime in w/ my observations of what works for my (also fine & easily weighed down) hair.

I too suggest conditioners, for moisture, moisture, moisture. I tried Nature's Gate, but found it too thin. I keep going back to Elucence Moisture Balancing as a rinse-out or leave-in. Another rinse-out conditioner I also keep going back to is Victoria's Secret Garden Sensuous Shine Amber Romance for dry/damaged hair. And my other leave-in conditioner is ABBA Nourishing.

For too long I was a conditioner wh0re & nothing's come close to these three over my years of being tempted by the forbidden fruit.

However, two conditioners I haven't used in so long for some reason or another is TIGI Bed Head's Oatmeal & Honey, & The Body Shop's Amlika. The first is a rinse-out & the second's a leave-in. These are great too, from what I remember, but like I said, it's been a long time.

I really want to try the Elucence condish!! Is that the only place you can get it tho - on line??

for me, the key in winter is to use a very moisturizing conditioner, but after leaving it on for a bit in the shower or bath, i rinse it all out. otherwise my hair gets flat and weighed down.

I don't know. When the Kenra thread appeared I was considering trying some. But just yesterday I thought that if I can order something from a local beauty supply store if they carry Kenra but not the full line, then I could ask if they can order in Elucence, which is made by Kenra. :?

Otherwise CurlMart carries it & it was Michelle or Gretchen who told me it's their top seller. So I bet they keep it stocked.
