Alternative to Deva One Condition
My daily routine consists of Deva One Condtion, scrunch with a t shirt, and scrunch in Paul Mitchell Sculpting Foam. Once or sometimes twice a week, I use a clarifying shampoo. I color my hair with blonde highlights, so I want to keep them looking blonde. I noticed Deva prices are going up. I started using it october 2010 and since it has gone up 3.00. I just can't justify paying 39.95 for conditioner. I have to either travel 2 hours to get it or pay an extra 4 or 5 dollars shipping. I need an alternative that is just as good or better. I have tried TIGI Curls Rock conditioner, herbel essence extra moisturizing and I am currently using TRessme Naturals moisture conditioner. This is working good but I need something with a little more slip to help detangle. i do not use combs or brushes. i finger detangle in the shower.. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

Have you tried Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition? I has decent slip and is pretty moisturizing. I like it better than Deva One.

Personally I am liking Tresemee Naturals. Its silicon free. I purchased Deva One Cond and use it sparingly, it is too expensive for my budget.

I just started using tresemme naturals - slip us decent. Anyone know if GFTN has better slip?
That's the one thing I miss from using cones!

I love Sally's GVP conditioning balm. Great slip, no protein or glycerin and can't beat the price $5-6!!

I love it, too, but not for slip! It doesn't seem to have much for me.
Of course we have terribly hard water here, so maybe nothing would!
Can't wait to move into our new place, with a WATER SOFTENER, and get a showerhead filter!

GF Triple Nutrition is the closest I've found 'on the ground' but also Amazon has the one condition quart bottle for $34 no tax no shipping, maybe that price OK for you?

Yes. I use Deva CurlOne and while it is good, it is not great. AND, I think their prices are outrageous. I live Dove Revival conditioner. It does have dimetheconol in it but I understand this is a water soluble cone. It is cheap and works really well. BTW, I have the Tresemme Naturals, and that is good too, but not great. Dove Revival is great.

To me the closest thing is the GVP Biolage Conditioning Balm at Sally's.

GVPCB is a definite staple of mine, for sure! I highly recommend giving it a try - plus the price is great!
Another I love - though I cannot compare it to One Condition, is Shea Moisture Conditioner. (I think it's called "shea moisture replenish conditioner") I use it as a LI, though. I doesn't have good slip for me, but as a LI it's lovely!
Again I can't say how it compares to One Condition (I've only used that once), but I can say it's $10 for 12oz, is often on sale, is available at Walgreens or Target (and online at either store), and is very moisturizing!

Thanks for all the input.. I may buy 1 more bottle of one condition and use it on special occasions. I have a mixture of 3a/3b curls. I have noticed when I use matrix biolage leave in tonic it makes it harder to detangle with the tresseme naturals the next day. I stopped using the tonic and its easier now. So I am going to keep experimenting with the cheaper brands until I find what works but I will be trying all the suggestions given above.. thanks..

I alternate with Sally's Hair One which i s $10 for 12 ounces if you are a member. It is an imitation of Wen and I am trying Wen now too, but it is expensive even on ebay which is where I get it. But Hair one is a good alternative, I don't know if that price is too much. I also get one c at a nearby salon at $29 for 33 ounces. you can look on line at various websites that also sell it for close to that. Cosmetic Magic used to but I think they are out of business. I haven't had much luck with my 3b hair with cheap stuff.

Redken All Soft can be found on ground. In terms of "some" ingredients like Avocado Oil and Amodimethicone which used to be in the old OneC it's similar in performance. This is a really nice conditioner, I like it much better than GVP Balm & Herbal Essence conditioners. I liked the old One C didn't care for the new watered down version.

Thanks everyone. I was at our local Jcpenney Salon and they had a sale on the Redken gift sets. I tried the Redken all soft and I am hooked for now.. It's been 1 week and it seems to be doing better than deva. Glides right through my hair. My husband uses the shampoo so it wont go to waste..
