am I the only one that did not have luck with recoil?

Like most of you wavies, I have tried everything under the sun to increase the curl in my loose curly/wavy hair. Recoil seems to have worked for so many of you. I have tried it so many times: using a little, using a lot, diffuser drying, air drying, in combination with other products and it just doesn't do anything for curl enhancement for me. Can you guys share with me how you all use it? Thanks.
Are there any other products you find curl enhancing. I think I've tried them all.
I use about around a quarter-sized blob worth (sometimes slightly more or less) and I apply to soaking wet hair before scrunching the water out. I usually use it another a gel or Joiwhip (so far so good with this one!), then I start scrunching away with thick, absorbent paper towels and plop for about 15 minutes and either diffuse for 5 minutes or airdry the rest of the way with clips at the roots.

im half wavy, half curly and find that re:coil has brought out more curls then ever...i use about a pea size blob to a quarter size and rake in all over..then i diffuse a lil . scrunch in boots or a gel depending on the weather and diffuse the rest..so far so good..i have also been experimenting re:coil with the 3 in 1 mousse as well..been using it since sept and loving it everyday!

WavieD, have you tried Jessicurl Gelebration spray? I've never found anything else that boosts my curls as much. I use it under my styling product.
Hi WavieD

Re:coil did not work for me at first, either, & I actually swapped it away Now, I'm on my 2nd tube... My hair is a combo of 2b & 3a. I too need volume at my roots, & this is what I do:

Shampoo & condition hair, all rinsed out upside down. While still bent over, I take my entire wad of hair into one clump & gently twist to wring the water out.

I then take about a blob (somewhere between a pea size to a dime size), emulsify it in my palms, then spread over the underside of my hair. I then stand straight, take another (same sized) blob, emulsify it, then spread over the top of my hair, making sure I massage some into my roots.

Here's what makes the difference for me - I take my wide toothed comb, bend over, & comb the Re:coil all through my hair, which seems to clump it back into one big section. I scrunch it (& at this point, I can really feel the Re:coil in my hair), then I sort of 'plop' into a t-shirt. I leave it up for 5 minutes at the most!!

For winter, I've been scrunching in a mixture of mousse & gel (mousse helps me with volume during the dryness of the winter), then diffuse until 70%-ish dry

The main thing that really helped the Re:coil work for me is combing it through & getting the amount right for my hair. If I use too much, my hair feels gunky, but with much experimentation, I've found that this amount works perfectly!!

Sorry for the dissertation, but don't give up on the Re:coil. It may take a little trial & error, but it's well worth it Like I said, I've gone through one full tube, on my 2nd, & have a big bottle in my stash. It's expensive, but it's definitely worth it

Recoil hasn't worked for me yet either (even though this thread makes me want to try it again). What has worked for me is Jessicurl Rockin Ringlets. Also, I don't know if you shampoo, but if you do, there is a shampoo called Phytocurl. If you leave it on a few minutes, it works wonders. I know they for sure have it at Sephora and Nordstrom.
