Default Curly hair isn't curling

Hello everyone

My normal ringlets aren't curling anymore. After I shower (no shampoo; for curls conditioner) it just sort of hangs there and feels kind of stuck together and if I so much as run a wide-toothed comb or my fingers through it just frizzs and hangs there.

I'll admit after having curly hair my whole life I'm freaking out. I think it's caused by for the past few months I've been setting my hair in no-heat curlers before I go to bed and brushing them out in the morning with a boar bristle brush. I also dye my hair a extra-light blonde. I condition like crazy & RARELY use anything with heat. And if I do, it's almost always hot rollers. I don't straighten my hair and I've stopped using the curlers for about the past two weeks.
Still not curling. Has this happened to anyone else before? Does anyone have any advice on how to get my hair back to normal?

Thanks! p.s. This is my first time on this site so please be patient with me if I goof something up!

Could be several things. I know when I straighten my hair, it takes a while for it to readjust and curl up again.

It could be product build up. Don't know if you are using sulfate shampoos or not. (I'm on my phone so can't see your siggie).

Could be you need a protein treatment. That may help.
3a/b, fine texture, low porosity, normal elasticity, mod-CG 7/11/11

Poo: KC Come Clean, SM Moisture Retention
CO: CJ Curl Rehab, CJ Argan & Olive Oil, Renpure Argan Oil, YTCucumbers, Sevi Pumpkin
Style: AIF, HESMU, Biolage gelee, KCCC
LOOB for second day hair

Like BS/ACV rinses, limit protein/humectants.

Hi Thecky912! You may want to read through the threads for newbies/introductions. Your issues could be from a number of things - products, lack of protein, lack of moisture, over-conditioning, etc. It's hard to give specific advice without knowing more about your products, your hair and its properties.

I have fine hair and many products can leave my hair over-conditioned or can leave build-up. I have to low-poo regularly and still need to clarify on occasion. I would suggest you clarify, make sure your conditioner doesn't have silicones and read through the threads.

The info here can be overwhelming at first. It takes a while to catch on to the lingo and understand your hair's needs. Keep reading and asking questions! This is a friendly and helpful community!
