Do you let your kids touch your hair?

Before I went natural my sons (4 & 5) loved to feel and play in my hair (about once a week if I had to put a number to it). I didn't have a problem with it because I could just go comb it afterward. Now that I'm natural I'm worried about them touching my hair because I don't comb it when its dry. Lately they both have hurt feelings because I've been telling them no. It's like they want to touch it more since it's natural.

Does anyone else let their kids feel or play in their hair from time to time? Does it affect your hair much?

I let my kids whenever they want. No biggie for me. If it messes my hair up I redo it.

On my EVO
They'd end up with nubs for fingers.

my 3 granddaughters, all toddlers, love to play with my hair. i let them. doesn't hurt my hair. 2 of them have 3c hair and they will play with each other's hair from time to time, 'boinging' the curls.

Am not a mom but I let my nephew play with my hair they say the kids who like to be touchy r very emotional and u shouldn't stop them cuz this is how they show love, so I think u should so yr kids don't get a negative idea about curly hair printed in their head from a young age.

I don't let them touch my hair when it is wet because then I look like a dork for 2 days. Once it's dry it's not a biggie I grab my Silk Naturals gel or Salon Naturals Curl Cream and fix it if I need to go somewhere important.

My mom use to let my youngest sister play with her hair until she used safety scissors to give my mom a horrible haircut. My mom had to go from middle of back length to a pixie cut. I won't be letting my child play in my hair, I already dread doing it now and having to fix it constantly would just annoy me. They can have a doll and play with its hair. Maybe I can compromise and they can play with it if I'm about to wash it maybe.

it really depends.

some children are rough...for example i let my nephews play in my hair when they were little.

one did SUCH a great job on one side i was falling asleep...the other took the comb and wound it horizontally up to my scalp!!! do you know how hard it is to get a rattail comb out of your hair??

very hard.

My niece is almost 3 and loves to play with My hair. A few days ago she grabbed a plastic spoon and said she was going to make me a princess like Cinderella <3... Yep she comb My hair with it and nothing bad happened, actually felt sexy... Lmfao

I love when my older daughter plays in my hair. My youngest is still a baby and in addition to being a bit rough she also likes to eat my hair so I have to remove her hands quite often. But my older daughter has learned to be gentle.
