Birds-nest at nape of neck...
I'm loving my hair since going CG, but my only problem is my tendency to get those pesky birds-nest type tangles right at the nape of my neck. There's specifically 2 sections of hair on each side that always get knotted up. The hair is very fine, but drier and tends to split. It's like my hair just rubs against my clothes all day and gets tangled...
any tips? Maybe more DTs on just that section of hair?

I get this! I found that if I skip curl/ finger curl those sections it helps them keep their shape. Also, I hate putting my hair up (gives me headaches) but if I am wearing a sweater I try because it destroys my hair. I try to stick with nice smooth clothes, and that helps a lot. Also, when air drying, I don't wear a shirt that come up high enough for my hair to run against, and this seems to help.

I get it really bad, too. Protein seems to help. Maybe a little coconut oil, too.
My winter coats are brutal on that part of my hair, for sure!!

Ugh, I have this too. I keep some of the wispier ones cut shorter, and extra-DT the others with lots of coconut oil... it seems to help; they could be much worse They're just a little rough.

My biggest problem is my scarfs. I always make sure to put extra leave-in and oil on the hair that's most prone to tangling, and put extra conditioner in the shower, same with DT's.

Actually a week ago I tried IAgirls protein treatment helped a TON. I just did it on the underneath, dry portions and I've definitely seen an improvement in 1 treatment.
PT recipe - as promised

Oy, I can't figure out how to get past this. My work shirt is the type that likes to grab strands of hair and pull them from their curls, then wind them up and tangle them up with each other.

Mine does it everyday, no matter what I wear. :/
I'm convinced there is no cure. Back in my pre CG days I would coat that area in a shine/smoothing serum. That's the only thing I've found that helped a little.
Oil seems to help some - I put jojoba oil under there, and that seems to do some good. Overall, tho, it's just a matted mess.

I can definitely relate. My college uniform has us wearing polos with collars which can wreck havoc
I've been trying to use extra, hard holding gel, as well as the protein treatment I linked above.
