Default Don't know if I should cut my hair...

A couple months ago I cut the hair around my face in an attempt to give myself some layers around my face. I have trimmed a little off of the ends my hair (hasn't affected the length) a couple of times since then. My hair is a little past BSL length when dry and don't know if I want to even it out by cutting it or growing it. On the one hand I like having the length to be able to just pull my hair back into a scrunchie when needed. My hair looks okay when it's all behind my shoulders, although lately I've been feeling a little overwhelmed by all of it, except when some of it comes over my shoulders. When that happens, the longer hair looks straighter compared to the hair thats been trimmed up. The shorter hair clumps better so it looks a bit odd (to me) to see the longer, wavy hair (ends up looking that way by the end of the day) paired with the clumpier, curlier hair. Any toughts? I'm really torn!

My thoughts are we need a pic so we can tell how to help!
Boy it's grown a lot since I saw a pic if it's past bsl

I just cut my hair shorter and it looks really cute and is easier to take care of. It was an inch past my collar bone, and now it's just to the bottom of my neck with some layering. I have a lot of hair (thick and coarse) and when I grow it too long it sort of overwhelms my face. Plus I really needed to even out all of my layers in my hair and get rid of my dry ends. If your shorter hairs seem to be curling better, you may want to cut the rest because maybe the length is pulling the curl out. I'm sure it will look nice shorter, and it might help save some time on styling

I do have pics in my fotki album, medusa. Although I can't remember the last time I updated it or even went to the site so maybe that's not much help. If I get a chance, I'll try and get one taken. Then someone's going to have to explain to me how to put a pic in my post.

That's what I was thinking OctoberBaby02.

In your album is good. Yeah you have pics but your hair isn't bsl.
My hair has face framing layers, well layers all over but the ones around my face are curlier than the rest. Since those are the ones I see the most I have the nice optical illusion that my hair is probably curlier than it is in the back too

I get a bit overwhelmed with my hair after bsl. I think just over that is my tolerance threshold. My hair is shorter and growing back out to that now.
I miss being able to pull all my hair over my shoulder and out of the way say when I'm in a seat so I don't lean back on it. Or put it in a high ponytail if I'm cleaning. It just falls all in my face right now

Yeah, like I said, it's been awhile since I've taken any recent hair pics. I'm know, I'm slacking! :P

Well, I broke down and cut it before I got in the shower. It's definitely shorter but still below my shoulders. I think I made the right decision. I think that extra length was being a dead weight for my curls. I wonder if my husband will notice...

Thanks for your input ladies!
