Default About to give up...need help please

I need some advice & I love this website so I am turning to you guys....

I am almost ready to give up on my waves/curls. I want more curls & some days have okay hair days & others are just a shame. I want to enhance my curls & haven't had any luck with the popular ones (AG:recoil & even SS CEJ!) & I am spending money I shouldn't on products in hopes that I will have beautiful curls (like botticelli babe for example.) I was thinking of making my own FSG but then thought I might waste more money trying to make it then just ordering it from botticelli babe. What should I do? Are there any other products I should try? I have a light collection from jessicurl that I am trying to sell on the swap boards that did nothing for me so I am hesitant to try the RR...any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Before buying full sized products, why not order samples from KathyMack? This has helped me find some great products, but also helped me find out what just does not work on my hair. Her prices are very reasonable, and her shipping is fast.
Making your own FSG literally costs pennies per batch! One bag of flax seeds from the store will last you a loooong time. You can add in things you already have in your pantry (if you want to) such as honey or aloe, etc. You'll have to keep it in the fridge if youre not using preservatives, but thats only a small sacrifice to make

Could part of the trouble be the season? I note you have fine 2c hair; I have similar, and my hair is far less wavy/curly in the winter. Humidity really helps our kind of hair.

@ Lucky Charm - I have ordered from Kathymack & I may again shortly. I did decided to make my own FSG today so I am looking forward to using it tomorrow. You were right about how cheap it was to make & I am hoping I love it as much as everyone else. I have my reservations though bc everyone seems to love SS CEJ & I am having no luck with it. I am beyond disappointed. I am very close to putting it on the swap board.

@ ninja dog - I hate when my waves are misbehaving & it may be the weather. I still need to educate myself about dew points, glycerin, & so much more. I am hoping that I find some "magic" product that doesn't exist I guess I so like a few products but my junkie in me is always looking....even though I just made the FSG today I almost bought a KMS product! I might need an intervention

Thanks for your help!

If your hair seem limp, maybe you need a bit of protein. Or perhaps a rinse with a bit of epsom salts.

I find that those two things really vamp up my curls when they seem overmoisturized.

I've found that with the Pure Clean line of Garnier really works great.. no build up at all which can weigh down and limp out curls. I used to need a protein conditioner every couple of weeks, but since I started henna, I don't anymore.

Swimming in the ocean with salt water does wonders. Duplicate results with epsom salts..
