Ingredient question

I was asking about the DE cleansers in another thread but thought asking about the ingredient directly might get a better response. How harsh is sodium coco-sulfate (from coconut) ? Laurabeth? Anyone? :)

I'm not sure. But I will say this without hesitation. It's all about how much of a concentration of a surfactant more so than the actual one. One of the most drying, harsh poos I've tried in a while was a coco betaine poo.

Ahhh, ok. It was actually the one Kurlee mentioned in that thread - DE Green Apple. Maybe I will rethink trying it. Thanks!

Yeah, there is a risk you'll hate that shampoo. It was harsh feeling.

Kurlee, the lady at the store said there was no lather, that it was like a creamy film, does that sound about right?

Kurlee 01-17-2007 02:52 PM

No, it lathered like a normal shampoo in my hair. Felt like straw after. Pretty bad actually.
