Default Braided extensions?

Ive been having a really tough time when it comes to my hair. It's cold out and having to wet my hair in order to control it isn't a very good idea. I've been thinking about getting those braid extensions (I think their called box braids) has anyone tried them? Is it damaging to the hair?

Braid extensions are great for winter, definitely recommend them. They are not damaging if you do not get them done too tightly around the hairline and if you take care of them. (Spritz them, wash them, etc.) I'm an occasional extension wearer...wore braids this summer and will probably rock yarn twists in January. Good luck and let us know what you decide!
