Hello!

I'm actually here to ask advice on products. Anyone here uses nature's gate hair products? I'm still not prepared to switch to co-washing, so I'm aiming for a sulfate free shampoo and then a conditioner (which I wash out partially). Any recommendations? These are the only natural looking products I could find btw.

i used to use nature's gate aloe conditioner as a cowash. and occassionally as a leave in, but had to leave in quite a lot.
unfortunately they changed the formulas about a year or so ago and i found it too drying so i no longer use it.

I use Nature's Gate shampoo and conditioner for color-treated hair. So far, I'm happy with the results.

I absolutely love Nature's Gate products. The shampoos and conditioners from the jojoba line as well as the color protect line are always in my rotation. They have pleasant scents and my hair never feels dry after using them, just silky smooth

The Nature's Gate Aloe Vera shampoo is very moisturizing for my hair as far as shampoos go. I usually dilute my shampoo with water and aloe vera juice and add oil but I've found that the Nature Gate Aloe Vera shampoo can be used straight out of the bottle as is with no doctoring to the formula and it still doesn't dry out my hair which is huge for me. If I'm not careful with the moisture balance in my hair, my tresses will most definitely dry out and become brittle and break off over time. This is my shampoo that I use consistently with no exceptions.

As far as conditioners, my hair likes Nature's Gate Nourishing Hemp Conditioner. I keep a bottle of that in my rotation and use it as a rinse out as well as a deep conditioner from time to time.

Wow, thank you for the replies. I was considering the herbal shampoo (because of the oils, I was hoping that it would reduce my hair loss) and the aloe conditioner or the lavender one.

Is it safe to use the ones for coloured hair if I have not coloured my hair? They seem to be the most favourite ones. Any idea what the difference is? I'm guessing the shampoo strips less if it's meant for coloured hair.

I was using the Natures Gate Aloe Vera Conditioner. It sucked, it didn't detangle my hair, no slip.

I have a lavender and something shampoo from them that I just finished up. It was a few years ago that I bought it so they may have changed but they have an organics line that does not have sulfates. Their regular line does. I got the sulfate one since I had someone else buying it for me and I didn't specify. I thought it was pretty harsh. I mainly used it if I had a bunch of product buildup I wanted to get out.

I later bought a non-sulfate shampoo from Max Alchemy and it is much the same. Harsh. I concentrate on finding shampoos with gentler sulfates like sodium myreth because there is no point in spending more sometimes a lot more for shampoos that are just as bad on my hair as SLS and ALS shampoos.

Oh no, it seems like not a lot of people recommend natures gate products. They are the only natural ones I can find around here (other than those from the body shop). I was thinking of maybe getting one of the conditioners for coloured hair because they make it sound like it moisturises more.

What about the Natralia nourish shampoos and conditioners? Any positive experiences with those?
