Default Did not use conditioner, I am confused.

The last few days I have been having hair issues in which I felt my hair was being weighed down and not looking right(very flat, weird curls). I did a Low Poo wash last Friday and every day since I have just been rinsing and then using One C, I then put some Angell in wet hair and diffuse. I definitely needed to use conditioner for the few days after I did my wash since my hair was very frizzy and did not curl as much. Today I just did my usual water rinse and I used no conditioner. I just put in some Angell after showerng and my curls are much nicer and my hair is not as flat. I have short hair that is fine but I have alot of it so it is thick. Now everything I read says that people with curly hair should be conditioning everyday especially in the winter months when the air is dry and cold. So why is my hair better on a day when I did not use any conditioner? How are you suppose to know when you are suppose to use conditioner ? I am tempted now to just rinse my hair for the next few days and just use gel and see if my hair starts to respond better. I tried being CG for a a few months and I never felt like it was working for me. Could it be that I was just conditioning too much?

I think it's just best that you do what's best for you, i keep hearing and reading that curly girls shouldn't shampoo and you shouldn't play with your hair when it's drying.
Well, i wash my hair everyday with shampoo and my hair dries so much better if i play with it when it's drying, if it works for you just keep doing what you're doing.

She's right you do what your hair needs and what works.
It's possible that the conditioner is too much for your hair or you just don't need it. I used just suave conditoners for years because they're light.
Whatever works I say run with it. Not all curly hair is alike.

congrats on the good hair day!

If it smells good put it in your hair, if it tastes good spit it out!

Everyone's hair is different, and the only way to find out what works for you is to experiment. Your hair is short, so probably it's in better shape than long hair would be and just doesn't need as much conditioning.

OMG, thanks for writing this!!

My hair reacts like your hair, I hardly use any conditioner or a little drugstore conditioner, thats all I need.
Other than that, my routine:
I shampoo every 4 or 5 days with Phytojoba shampoo & I rinse every morning. (only shampoo the scalp)
When I rinse I dont use conditioner, only after washing with shampoo.
It seems that my hair doesnt need it, as I dont color, blowdry & sleep on a satin pillowcase.

Curly hair is different, my hair is hardly greasy, its just ...moist.

On the no-wash days,Rinse & feel the wet ends, if they are a little rought, add a few drops of condish.
