Hey guys! Just signed up less then 10 minutes ago. For over 12 years I had been wearing my curly hair in a ponytail. A year ago I decided to let my hair down and see maybe if it looks any better down. Wow was I amazed, my hair is long, beautiful, and full of curls!

I need help taking care of my hair. I never really known what to ever do with my hair, I never used to really care of that. Currently, I shampoo, condition it, brush it, then mousse it, then let it air dry. I do this every 2-3 days. My hair type is 3A. Could you please suggest methods to take care of my hair, or any shampoo, products, etc would be really helpful. Thank you!

I have just recently started using the renpure red shampoo and green conditioner(don't know why the diff I picked up 1 and my mom picked up the other lol!) And I love them!!!! They make my hair so soft and usually a lil easier to handle! The past few weeks I.have been playing around, sometimes just using biolage conditioning balm as a leave in, sometimes mixing aloe vera gel and mane n tail, just whatever I have to see what happens I found out that if I don't use as much gel or mousse or hairspray my hair will look ok for the most of the day, with I'm fine with i dont need it great all day but the best part, when I used the conditioning balm or aloe mixed with conditioner when I went to wash 2 or 3 days later I didn't need the shampoo my hair didn't feel or look greasy and my scalp wasn't itchy I just used some suave conditioner to detangle and wet my hair so I could fix it again. I went almost a week and a half without shampooing weird for me bc I was a shampoo every 2-3 days person

Welcome to the forum! The best thing you can do right now is start browsing around and soak up information. It's hard to give that info to you in a quick post here because each person's hair is so different - it becomes a matter of experimenting with products and techniques in the beginning.

I have 3A type hair too and I recently did a blog post on the products I use. If you look below you'll see a highlighted link to my blog.

I'd start by finding out your hair porosity, texture and thickness. This will help people guide you towards specific products. People here are great at making suggestions.

Wow - thank you so much! I just checked the link under my pictures and it does work. I'm not sure why it didn't work on your phone, but it's working on my laptop computer.
