Default Nexxus emergencee-what should it feel like rinsing out?

I just did my first ever protein treatment thinking my hair would hate it but I left it on for about 2 mins and it felt wonderful rinsing it out. I've heard others say it makes it feel immediately hard a little dry. Did I not use enough or leave it on for long enough? Does that mean my hair likes it?

I am now doing a DT for 30 mins with Gvp balm and my hair never felt so awesome combing my conditioner through.

Sorry for all the questions but I expected a much different reaction from my hair. The curl wizard said I had medium to fine hair with normal porosity and elasticity..so I'm not sure how often I would need to do these?

I believe you were supposed to leave that longer. If you had, your hair would've felt a little hard and you would've needed a moisturizing DT.

I agree with Rusy. Odd that your hair didn't have that kind of hard feeling after 1-2 minutes. Try leaving it in a little longer - not too much

Mine also never got crunchy or hard feeling. I knew something was up seeing so many other posts with people saying that they thought they ruined their hair. After Emergencee what I got was super soft hair that was nearly straight!!

Hmmm...my hair also felt drier rinsing out the DT than it did the PT. do you think it would be safe to conclude my hair likes it? My hair looks noticeably curlier now drying but almost feels too moisturized. Especially on top. It's like my hair didn't even need the DT.

Also, how soon could I do it again?

I just used the very same combo today. For the past few weeks, I've been doing a weekly PT/DT with the Emergencee and the GVP balm. My hair also feels pretty good while rinsing out the Emergencee, and I've been using it for an hour at the time...almost feeling like I don't need the DT. But, I've been doing that for an hour after the PT. I've been doing this for a few weeks and haven't noticed that my hair doesn't like it. It's always really perky afterwards. I've never had any crunchy or dry feeling after using the Emergencee.

See I think I definitely didnt need to DT. My hair feels way too moisturized now. I did a good amount of condish thinking I would need it. And Gvp balm is usually way too heavy for my hair normally.

I guess I will try the emergencee again for longer and see what it feels like then.

The instructions said to leave it on for 1-2 minutes? Then I think they've changed their instructions. My bottle says to leave it on for 10 minutes with a shower cap and heat, which is what I normally do. My hair feels stronger, not necessarily harder, but I do follow it up with a DC under steam for 15 minutes after.

If your hair is feeling over-moisturized, then try increasing 2 min to 5 and see how your hair feels. I'm 4a, and my curls are super-ridiculously boing-y after using it.

Just did another PT with the Nexus but left it on for 10 mins and it felt a little rougher rinsing out but not really. I definitely did not need to DT and I'm glad I didn't because it really seems to weigh me down, I guess because I am so easily overconditioned. I just used my rinse out for a few minutes and even that had protein. I did not even need a leave in. But I'm learning my hair does better without a leave in anyway. Curls are much tighter.

I definitely can tell results from the PT. yay
