Can overconditioned hair result in damage if undetected?

Thanks,
Jennie
I don't think so. It may have other bad effects like making your hair limp or fuzzy, but I can't think of a reason why it should cause any damage.
I shouldn't think it will do any damage as long as you rinse properly the next time you shower. I think Lorraine mentions this in Curly Girl - something along the lines of, your hair will look overcoated for the day, but it all helps your hair look good in the long run.
I just thought my hair was dry and kept on doing weekly DTs for several months. It still looks like crap but, hopefully, it will look better now that I think I have figured out the problem.

Thanks,
Jennie
Jen, if you're doing protein-based DTs, remember to use a good moisturizing conditioner afterwards. Otherwise, the excess protein your hair doesn't absorb sits on the outside of the hair shaft and makes it feel rough and dry.
