Default What products would help frizz like this?

I am posting my naked wavy hair as it dries (it's probably about 75% dry). Basically what I end up with is each individual hair drying on its own, resulting in crazy frizz. It's very, very frustrating, and it's a problem I have regardless of whether or not I have product in. I'm just posting it naked to show it at its most extreme.

In the past I have used a combination of gel with a bit of LI (all different brands), but it didn't really work, especially after SOTC. Today I just co-washed with Tresemme Naturals and used a wide-tooth comb to detangle. That's it. I haven't touched it otherwise.

Recently I placed a CurlMart order for CJ BeautiCurls, CCCCLite, and Jessicurl oil blend. I'm hoping one of the above will help. I'm not sure what causes this frizz type (dryness, protein imbalance, water, etc) so it's hard to troubleshoot :\

Looks to me a bit like over-conditioned hair. Pedaheh calls that "conditioner cling" when hair repels itself and alternately attracts itself, like clothes fresh from the dryer.
You mentioned water - have you tried cleansing your hair doing all the wetting and rinsing with distilled water? That would tell you if the water is a problem.

I can't really tell what overconditioned hair is like, to be honest. I know it is described as being soft, but I always liked and wanted soft hair. Is that bad? It doesn't feel mushy, though, which is what I hear OCed hair feels like.

I have been at home for the week, where my parents have a water softener installed. It's definitely worse there, but not by much. I still have it when I'm in my in my apartment with hard water. I feel like my hair has always had this issue, though, and I haven't always been so generous with conditioner.

I'm getting SSRPT in the mail via the swap board, so I guess I will see if that helps. If it does, would that be a pretty good indication of OCing?

OC'd hair often repels itself, feels very soft and might be "flyaway," doesn't hold a curl or acts wavier/curlier when wet and less so when dry. It is sometimes a little dull.
I think of it more like having used too much fabric softener on laundry. If you used triple the recommended amount, your clothes would feel coated, the towels would not absorb very well, everything would feel too soft and strange.
Conditioner is meant to leave an ultra-fine coating on your hair. Because of the electrostatic bonding, it doesn't shampoo off or rinse off completely. This is not a bad thing. But for fine-haired people whose hair is already on the "silky" side, it's easy to use too much!
I usually fix OC'd hair with shampoo, then protein, then just enough conditioner to untangle. And I ease up on the conditioner until my hair feels and acts how I want.
Sometimes I try baking soda or vinegar and sometimes those work too. So you just have to try things to see what gives you the result you're looking for. Frustrating, but it's a work in progress.
