It's actually a combination of a lot of methods, but it really worked for me, so I thought I'd tell everyone about it
1. Co-wash and rinse. Apply your rinse-out to hair and comb to get rid of tangles. Rinse about 70% of your conditioner out (or rinse all of it and apply a leave-in)
2. Flip your head over and comb to separate hair. Cup your hands and fill with water. Splash your hair and scrunch gently. Gently scrunch your hair gel/styler into your hair.
(Super soaker method ^)
3. Flip your head back up and take a few clips. Do a cross clip by taking small sections of your hair from either side of your part, criss-cross them, and clip it. This helps with volume at the roots so it doesn't look flat. Here are examples of pictures

4. Flip your hair over again (sorry, lots of flipping) and, using a long-sleeved shirt, put it into a plop. Leave it in a plop for 15 minutes, then take out the clips. When the clips are out, you can plop again for as long as you want or just let it airdry.
This gave me great results! Basically, it's the Super Soaker and then plopping with criss-crossed clips.
