Wow...a lot of variety in how people use it and how it works.
CK doesn't hold up for me in hot/humid weather. That's when I use gel, which I pretty much hate, but which will usually make it through the day.
So unlike other people, I use CK in the winter. It does keep down frizz for me in low humidity. But yes, it also tends to pull out the curl somewhat, so I try to layer it with something that's curl enhancing. I only have 2 gels that work for me, and they don't work in the winter, so CK is my winter staple. I guess I don't care too much about the curl elongation since I'm wearing a winter hat as well and my hair's going to get flat, then expand horizontally no matter what.
