Default Raking Question

For the past few months I have been scrunching in products in soaking wet hair but it seems I always have one side of my head that is flatter than the other. On one side of my part there will be nicely seaparated curls and on the other thicker curls that get clumped together and usually a thick spiral curl in the front. This looks like I have flat hair on one side of my head. Would I get better defintion if I combed or raked in the gel? Should this be done bending over? Right now I finger comb my conditioner in the shower right side up and then I rinse bent over. I then smooth in some gel over my wet hair which is lying flat on my head and then shake my head back and forth and up and down. My hair is short and fine but I have alot so it is thick.

I get good coverage from raking. I like to rake first, then scrunch up the curls with a little more product.

I usually rake in then scrunch like Curlyjenn. I think alot of us find we don't match on both sides . I have one side that curls more than the other.

You could also take a wide tooth comb and comb your products through, then scrunch.

I also rake in and scrunch. I rake it in when standing up right so the exposed part of my hair is coated well, then I flip my head over and rake through the back of my hair to make sure I get it coated too. Then while still head down, I scrunch my hair like mad.

I rake and scrunch. If I only scrunch, the R. sight of my hair has more product and more body, since that's the side I favor anyway.

My hair is short and fine too, and I rake and scrunch. But, it might just be that your hair is different on each side. Mine is. The right side of my hair is much curlier. I also have a chunk of hair that is perfectly straight.
