CG friendly dandruff shampoo?

Hey everyone! So I've been CG since spring but this is my fist winter with the CG method. I've really liked it so far and am going with a no shampoo regime. So here's the problem, winter has hit hard where I live and the dry air is also drying out my scalp. Usually I wash my hair every 4-5 days but here I am on day 2 trying desperately to shake out my hair without ruining the curls to get rid to the dandruff. I would just wash it more often but the gel products I use are expensive and I really don't want to use them up faster. Before CG, I would always switch to an anti-dandruff shampoo for the winter but my old anti-dandruff shampoo is not CG safe. Are there any really good CG safe anti-dandruff shampoos or any other methods of getting rid of the flakes? Thanks!

I am big on brown sugar scrubs. Mix about a tablespoon of olive oil and a tablespoon of brown sugar together. Massage it into your scalp like you would be washing your hair (I do this bent over my tub because sugar will fall off!) into dry hair. Then let it sit for about 10 mins so the olive oil can soften the scalp and help loosen the flakes even more. Wash out and condition and style like usual.

I can't take credit for this. IAgirl has a nice blog with a few different ways to help with itchies and flakes.

I get awful flakes in the winter and it's very noticeable since I have black hair. Sometimes I am also itchy along with the flakes, but I think that has more to do with certain products than anything else.
Coarse texture, normal-high porosity, normal elasticity (Komaza Care), very weak waves
cleanser: Redken Fresh Curls Shampoo, CJ Daily Fix

rinse out: GVP Conditioning Balm, CJ Repair Me, CJ Smoothing

jellies/creams: CR Curl Maker, KCCC, UFD Curly Magic
gels: CJ CQ, BRHG

Thanks for the info! Before I go and rub sugar on my scalp though I think I'm going to try shampooing with a sulfate free shampoo instead of just co-washing and see if that helps

It sounds to me like you have a dry scalp. I get super flaky in the winter, too, and it's mostly because my scalp is very dry. I LOOVE brown sugar scrubs like Asianrunner suggested, but I also like rubbing aloe vera gel or oil (my faves are apricot and coconut oil) on my scalp the night before I wash my hair. It sounds kinda gross, but it helps immensely, and my scalp always feels so much better afterwards!
Type 2c/3a with lots of hair and a super sensitive scalp! Med/slightly coarse texture, low porosity and elasticity.
