Sea Kelp mixed with conditioner or shampoo?

Has anyone tried mixing in some Bioferment Sea Kelp into their shampoo or conditioner? I know a few that make some skincare products from this, but they swear by mixing 1:1 ratio of this stuff to their their conditioner/shampoo their hair grows much faster and much healthier.
One of the conditioners I bought the other day had this in it, but I can't remember which one it was. Probably one of the Nature's Gate or Desert Essence conditioners. I used to take kelp as a supplement because it was supposed to help increase thyroid function.

Got my shipment in of the Bioferment Sea Kelp and mixed about 20% of this to 80% conditioner and my my hair absolutely loves it. It drank it right up and I can tell right away after I rinsed my hair that the texture and feel of it was different. Felt unbelievably soft and managable and not to mention the volume and shine that came with it.
Is this stuff a powder? I'm wanting to try this.

I have a weird issue with kelp. If it's an ingredient, I don't think twice about it. But so far, I've been reluctant to buy kelp that isn't food-quality because of possible pollutants. For some reason...OK, maybe it's because I'm completely landlocked...I think of the ocean & seas as being horribly polluted. And yet here I am surrounded by fertilizer, coal dust & truck fumes. AND I take fish oil pills and we all know about toxins in fish!

OK, I think I worked through my insanity. Tell me more about this stuff! (please )

I've been very interested in kelp products for quite some time, after reading how good the ingredient is for hair & skin.

But y'know, I've only been able to find two items containing such. One's a deep conditioning pre-shampoo mask by Aubrey. It's not cheap for such a small container! The other is Lubriderm lotion.

So, I too want to know more about this Bioferment Sea Kelp. Please!
I don't have anything useful to add to the discussion, but did you know that kelp (which is an algae) isn't a plant? It's a protist. (Ah the fun facts you learn in bio)

Is this bioferment stuff the Skin Actives product, sold in 2 oz containers? Do you dilute it before you mix it with conditioner? Because if it isn't getting diluted with water first, I wouldn't think that 2 oz would last very long (and it's what, $16 for 2 oz).

Does it have to be the ferment?

The lakes here get covered with algae in the summer.....yuck.

I was able to get it straight from the distributor that SAS gets theirs from and have been distributing it out to a lot of people for a lot less and they love it. People literally put it in EVERYTHING, from face products, creams, lotions and haircare products. I'm still new to the whole SKB, but actually when mixed in with conditioner it somewhat helps relax it, so for those that have really curly hair such as 3B and wants to loosen it a little and help control some bulk it'll definitely help. But this I have yet to try, but someone informed of this is when diluted in an ACV rinse solution it enhances curls. I worked a dab of this in with my gel and really like it. I also plan on incorporating this into my skin care products.
I'm going to look into this for sure. I really liked Aquage Healing Conditioner, which I guess is now discontinued (and the price never did go down!) and that had kelp or algae in it. Nature's Gate has a kelp conditioner too which I've used frequently. I've seen it listed as a nourishing ingredient in some really pricey conditioners.

And on a side note, I use kelp concentrate as a natural plant fertilizer, and the dogs used to get kelp + alfalfa supplements!

Thanks!

Might be a little off topic because I didn't add the sea kelp myself, but I just picked up Brocato Splassh Shampoo (LOW POO for those interested) and it has sea kelp in it. Seems pretty moisturizing and nice for a low poo too!
