UK Curlies

Hi all,

I would like to know how many UK curlies is out there, who they are and what is their hair type and regimen.

I'm 3c and my hair is past shoulder length. I'm using at the moment Tesco brand moisture range (same kind bottle as Herbal Essences). I normally use homemade shampoo and condish but ran out of it at the moment.
I also use Shea butter mask (homemade), castor oil and biotin for hair growth and argan oil, coconut oil plus some EOs for shine, split ends and as sealants.

Another thing we can do here is swap voucher codes or sites offering free hair stuff.
On 'all 4 free UK' page on fb, they're offering a full size bottle of Aussie moisture shampoo.
Hi Sedadica, a fellow UK curly here. I have 3a, highly porous, fine/medium textured brunette curls, just past shoulder length, which I've grown to love thanks to this site (although I don't always have great curl days), but that's the mystery of curly hair, you never know how it will turn out next time you style it, lol!

Anyway, onto my regimen, which is quite simple really. I co-wash, rinse out and leave in with either Garnier Fructis Repair and Shine, which is a good all round condish or L'oreal Full Restore 5 that has hydrolysed wheat protein as an ingredient (my hair loves protein). My curls really 'pop' when I use this. My gel/jelly of choice which I rake through my curls is Umberto Giannini Curl Friends. I love this. I then diffuser dry until it's 60/70% dry, air dry the rest of the way, then SOTC and voila, I'm ready to face the world (well after a strong coffee to wake me up in the mornings, ha ha!)

Here's to hearing from fellow UK curlies!

I'm still a bit green on CG method but I'm getting there but I decided almost 4 months ago to stop using any kind of heat in my hair. Now I'm learning about what it needs and loves. Haven't tried a lot of products but I think that my curls are more defined now than they were 4 months ago.

Still have some heat damaged strands but I'm growing them out. I want to have my hair by my waist in December. I created my own hair agenda to note all the products I've used and when, what it done to my hair and if is something I'll use again. I also take a picture of my hair once a month and always on the same day.

Too much time in my hands
Thanks for your input. Happy to know I'm not alone in this curly quest.

Hi, another uk curly here. I have 3a hair, desperately trying to get it longer since my last pregnancy led to loads of hair loss. Feel weird with shorter hair. Still trying out lots of products and tend to use the British curlies site mostly. More expensive but some great stuff. There is a forum too. Sorry if you already know this. I still look on here a lot though, loads of information here.

Hi,
Trying to be patient, lots of vitamins, massaging with oil and generally treating with tlc!
It's just below my shoulders now but used to always be mid back so it's got a long way to. The underneath layer is really tight ringlets so takes an age to get longer.
Any tips greatly received!

3B here

I use Naked Colour care shampoo and conditioner
Boots curl cream
Umberto Giannini Flirty Curls gel

I deep condition with L'Oreal 5 problems 1 solution (can't remember it's name) 5 minute conditioner
I use this protein treatment PT recipe - as promised

I usually leave it to dry but sometimes go at it with a hairdryer if I need to go out or go to bed.

I've recently had my hair highlighted and it could do with some TLC.
Fat does not make you fat. It's actually pretty important.
