a big thanks to all those who gave me recoil advice

I recently posted my frustrations about how I felt like I was the only one who did not have good results with Recoil. Well today I found it amongst all the other poor misfortunate hair products in the product graveyard under my bathroom sink. I followed the advice that you guys that responded had given me and I have to say I had the best hair day that I've had in ages.
I raked in into sopping wet hair while upside down, then combed through (which I never would have done), scrunched some more in, flipped right side up and added some BSHRG. What a difference. Thanks to all.
That is great news! I just tried it for the first time this week & love the definition & the way my hair looks. I'm just trying to find a perfect gel to put over it. I find recoil does give me a great amount of volume, so I'm just trying to find something to tone that down a little - I have a lot of hair. Aside from that, I like it as well. The best is that I found out a beauty supply near my job carries it for $12.99, so I do not need to order it online!! Glad to hear of your success. Don't you love good hair days??
Yay, WavieD, I'm glad that you got it to work for you. I find that I must comb the Re:coil through, (also Curlkeeper, when I use it during the heat & humidity). I actually gave my first tube of Re:coil away, because I couldn't get it to work for me.

curlsofny - I love the volume that I get from Re:coil, because my hair is pretty thin. I'm glad you found it locally, too

Shampoo: Still use sulfates, but only on roots
Rinse out: Deva One C, JC Too Shea, Original Sprouts Deep Conditioner
Curl Enhancers: KCCC; JC Rocking Ringlets, JC Spiralicious, & Confident Coils
Styler: BRHG (over any and all curl enhancers) - this is the one product that I never change - absolute HG!!

Yay!

Yay for combing. It was pure desperation that made me try it, but it actually makes my curls clump better. With or without re:coil.
