Default Hairline breakage

So my hair has gotten noticeably thinner at the top front area...because my hair is think everyone thinks I'm nuts when I say that. But that part is fine...and I think breaks easy. I don't condition that part because it gets greasy looking easy. When I feel underneath the hair there I can feel the bristles of broken hair. So is it better for me to part...or comb straight back to grow this part in. I had been putting in a high pony at night but I feel this may contribute to breakage. What can I do to thicken it up....please help...I hate how flat and lifeless it gets.

Back on Cones,so now my routine is,wash with Deva No-Poo every other day or so. Occasionally use 365 sulfate free, maybe use low sulfate shampoo mixed with conditioner once every two weeks are longer. I condition with Aussie Moist or HEHH. I style with a little GF TN,and finish up with tons of GN Pure Clean Smoothing Cream. No frizz...slippy, happy hair.

Have you done a protein treatment? If not, that's the first thing I would try. Emergencee is good, also IAgirl has a good homemade recipe.

Does it matter what style I put it in? Are there any I should stay away from!

Yes, stay away from anything that pulls or puts stress on the hair. Put your hair in a high loose ponytail at night and secure with a fabric covered rubberband like a scrunchie.
I have lupus and have lost over 50% of my hair at one point. It's regrown with the use of Rogaine and Biotin 5000mcg. I also take 4000mg of quality fish oil daily along with a ton of other medications.

If you're stressed, find a way to reduce that stress. Yoga, Tai Chi, meditation, guided imagery are all good.
Eat a lot of protein.
Make sure you're eating a balance diet.
Take a multi vitamin and consider supplementing with a B complex.

Portein treatment- sounds like your hair is weak. Try a moderate protein treatment. IAGirl's recipe is good. I also use Aphogee 2 minute reconstructor. I recently ordered the shescentit.com / Fortifying Hair Masque It's moisturizing enough that I didn't need to do a deep treatment afterwards (normally I follow up with moisture after using protein)

I would also find a different type of conditioner that isn't so greasy. Are you silicone free? IMO, you really should conditioner all your hair. Dry hair will break and since it's not getting moisture, it's always going to be less healthy than the rest.

I need a heavy conditioner cause the rest of my hair is so course. I eat tons of eggs...that should be good right? And the high pony with the scrunchi I was doing but felt like the weight if it still was pulling. Like if I don't double it usually the weight will pull it down

And I have both PPT and Nexxus Emergencee....which is better...I'll do a treatment Saturday and Sunday. Should I do them a couple of times a week?

Maybe a bandana or silk scarf over your hair after putting it up in the scrunchi to help hold it in place? Does that even make sense? Or braids so the rest doesn't get as tangly but ur not pulling on the front?

Didn't mean to post that yet...oops

But I really hate parting it too...I think I look best with it combed back out of my face...I wonder if that is good or bad?

The PT I use is Emergencee and you should use a DT afterwards or at least a really moisturizing RO. (I often do a moisturizing RO instead of a DT since I get easily oc'ed, but you have thicker hair and will probably need more moisture replaced after the PT). HTH, good luck and try to be less stressed, exercise helps me a lot when I am stressed out!

Just noticed you said you would do a PT on Sat and sun.... I would start with once a week and see if that helps first, too much can make it break more since it will get tangly and dry.

You should only detangle with a wide tooth comb while your is wet and full of conditioner. Anything else and you risk breaking the hair.

I do use wide tooth comb...but that front top part doesn't usually get tangles. Today I did co wash and condition all of it (top front part) included and it didn't get greasy...so that's a plus... I'm gonna have to do it more often.
