Yes, the Trader Joe's tea tree tingle conditioner cleanses well yet it's gentle and still moisturizing.
It turns out the tresemme naturals didn't work out for me. There's something in it that my hair doesn't like.. it's making my hair feel terrible. My hair feels so dry and completely stripped of moisture. I thought it was the products I was using at first, but I used different products and my hair still feels terrible, and it's been feeling like this ever since I started using the tresemme conditioner. I'm disappointed since it detangled my hair so well and didn't weigh down my hair either.

Aww I'm sorry Tresemme Naturals didn't work out so well, but I'm glad the Trader Joes's is. I just looked up the ingredients for the Tresemme Naturals and it has stearyl alcohol and cetyl alcohol as the second and third ingredients, so I'm guessing that might be a part of why it feels drying? Its my educated guess at least.

I think those are good alcohols, not the drying ones...

Are you using a RO in addition to the tressemme? Or maybe you want to avoid that step?
Can't remember - did you say you'd tried suave nat coconut?

I was using the tressemme conditioner as a RO. And yes I have used suave naturals as a co-wash, which worked alright for me. I'm currently using the trader joes conditioner as a co wash and rinse out now and it seems to work fine for both. The tressemme conditioner just makes my hair feel terrible for some reason.

Lol, yes! The fatty alcohols are good...Isopropyl alcohol is the major no no and can be drying when at the beginning of the formulation. You want to avoid this ingredient in gels too...Although there was some talk about IA being at the end is ok, it may be there as a preservative or to make the formulation work...I just try to avoid it.

The TN Moisture made my hair feel horribly coated...I had better luck with TN Volume...I have used it to cowash before and it was ok...

for moisture/detangling:
Cure Care Hair & Skin Conditioner is really light, and it's super cheap (around $3.00 for 20 oz bottle).
also:
Ion Volumizing Conditioner (similar to Cure Care but has panthenol and Behentrimonium Chloride) - good for co-washing
for protein:
Biotera Leave-in Conditioner -I put this in a spray bottle, and a fine mist spray is a great light conditioner for me
ApHogee Keratin and Green Tea Restructurizer Spray
All inexpensive & available at Sally's
