Hot oil treatment before or after shampoo/conditioner

I recently bought olive oil, coconut oil, and jojoba oil for a hot oil treatment. I was always told to apply the hot oil treatment after I condition my hair. To be honest, it makes sense because the moisture remains after I completely wash my hair. But, I have no problem in changing that routine. I just need to know the benefits of applying the oil before shampooing. I use Shea Moisture shampoo and conditioning products; I don't use sulfate at all. I don't mean to sound offensive, but why should I add the hot oil before I wash my hair? Will it just waste oil or is it highly recommended? Thank you. I appreciate your comments.
I always do mine with a hooded dryer before shampooing. Did one with EVOO tonight. For me the prepoo helps the shampoo be less drying and it prevents tangles which shampoo can cause for me if I'm not careful. I simply CANNOT leave EVOO in my hair because it is so heavy and makes my hair greatsy. Can't let stay on my scalp because it give me itchies. So I get the benefits of letting it penetrate my strands then shampooing off the excess.

Hot oil treatment is most beneficial in black hair care. You might have tried several methods to add some volume and extra shine to your hairs but the best natural treatment is the hot oil treatment for your hair.
