Has anyone bought one yet? I am very interested in seeing how it works, but apparently not $70 worth of interested.

Day 1: Cowash and condition with AO GPB, ACV Rinse,
Co-Kra gel (this stuff is fantastic)
Day 2: KCKT, KCCC, plop, KCCC, plop again, air dry
Day 3: Curly Kinks Satin Roots, Coil Jam
Day 4: IAGirl's PT, KBB DT, FSG
Co-Kra gel is my own concoction of okra boiled in coconut milk. It is a cross between FSG and KCCC and leaves my hair very soft and shiny

It also looks a bit too bulky to be considered "portable." Technically, it's smaller than my vacuum cleaner but certainly not something that I'm going to slip into my purse.

Oh, I would LOVE it if you'd post what you think when you use it. Pics of your results would be even better! For some reason, this is one of these products I really want to think works (but I don't want to spend $70 to find that out).

Has anyone tried this yet? I miss my old gym's steam room; my hair would get so thick & curly! I wonder if this thing can come close?

I have tried this product. And all I can say how amazing it is. I have two small children so I'm not able to sit under a steamer for 30 min. So using this on my hair works great. I have 4c natural hair. I'm African American and was skeptic on the product as well. The steam lossens up my tight curls. Making me able to separate and manage them. It's definitely worth the price. For the results that it gives for those who wear their curls all the time like myself. This is a product you need to have at your fingers. It only takes 20 seconds for it to heat up. You press it with a trigger. Meaning you control the steam on your hair. I love this product. I have the chance to speak with the owners. They are so humble and greatful about the love and results I got. I paid for the unit with my own hard earned cash. And happy I made this investment. I use it on second day or third day hair. After hair was in a pineapple. Or even to give my twist a refresh. Ladies please look into this. It's a wonderful product.

Here is pics of the unit. It's not bulky at all. And super quiet. Plus a pic of my hair after I took down the pineapple.

I am glad this product worked for your hair...my hair is fine and porous and it just caused massive frizz.
I should have known better since even just walking into a steamy bathroom causes my hair to frizz up...I guess I was hopeful!
I have tried to contact the company multiple times to return it and am getting the silent treatment...I'd say buy with caution and certainly give one a try before committing if you can.

Hmmm my hair needs heat and water to reactivate curls so this product might be a good alternative to leaving the house with wet hair in this cold weather. Have you considered selling it?

wow...I went and looked at the homepage for this product, and I thought, I can get the same thing from my clothing iron at a low setting ;p (just can't touch the hair with the clothes iron, lol!) but I was also looking at the pictures of the models, and one of them defs had her hair in a curling iron :/ colour me skeptical...looks like the Deva finger thing - something you really want to work, that probably doesn't, not really.

This is a great idea!
I am very pleased with this product. I tried using my steam cleaner and humidifiers on my hair, but they did not work. I have very dry hair and I live in a desert, so this is just what I needed. It gives me the perfect amount of moisture and heat. I was going to buy a new blow dryer with a diffuser, and this cost less than the dryer I was looking at, so, for me, it was a good buy.
I do think the company should allow returns on the product if it doesn't work for the customer!

Thank you for the feedback. I have revised my return policies to make them more consumer friendly. Sorry for the misstep. Heidi

So glad to see that! It made the difference between ordering, and waiting longer to see more feedback.

I have been testing out the Q-redew lately. I am very on the fence about it. I can instantly add volume and curl back to my hair, but I also get a lot of canopy frizz. This decreases some if I add a little light gel to my hair. I am not sure if the effects are completely permanent for my hair. I have porous, stubborn hair, and often have to use high heat on styling appliances, so that's not a surprise. I would be curious to see if a heat range could be added.
For those of you that have the Q-redew, how do you use it in your hair? I started out just poking it everywhere and scrunching, but have moved to focusing on the ends and scrunching upwards. I also curl curls around a finger and then steam them. I really need to use gel with this I think.
Just trouble shooting... looking for ways to use it. I may try a flexi set with this.

This might not be common experience with other curlies, but if I thoroughly wet my hands and then scrunch and hold one section of hair for a couple of seconds, and then repeat that whole wet hands-scrunch-hold process all over, that does a good job with refreshing my curls without frizz, but anytime I've ever tried to let the steam of the shower refresh my curls or done the popular technique of spritzing my hair with a spray bottle, it just results in frizz. And when that happens, I end up having to correct things by going overboard with spritzing my hair to the point that it's really, rrreally saturated (almost like it would be if I water-washed it in the shower).
Oh well (sigh)... As much as the PJ in me would love to have a new hair toy to play with, I think I'd just be frustrated, so I'm going to do the responsible consumer thing and take a pass on this hair tool.
