I agree with curlyev and steph. Cut out the protein and incorporate more moisture. As far as sealants, if the Shea butter just sits on your hair, give coconut oil a try, or jojoba oil. Jojoba oil is lighter than coconut oil, and coconut oil, I believe, is one of the only oils proven to actually penetrate the hair shaft.
