Default Oil and Dry Scalp, possible cause-and-effect?

I had never thought of this but it does make sense. I tend to use oil on my hair almost everyday, specifically olive and coconut oil, for about 8 months now. I low poo every week so im not sure if oil can cause dry scalp and it never seems to just coat my hair. Yet, i just read recently that too much can clog your pores and cause itchy scalp. Is this true? If so, how much is considered too much?

I think I'm normal-overly porous, medium-thick hair(although I see fine hair too), love protein

i too use oils everyday, though i use light oils, normally i just put it on my hair not on my scalp though i do mesage my scalp with argan/rosemary oil every night..... ive never had any problems with it. if your pored are clogged you might want to consider doing a deep cleansing.
hope that helps

Thanks and I don't think I ever put oil on my scalp eexcept maybe one time but I was curious since I don't think clashing is really enough

if you never put it on your scalp then you shouldnt have any problems, i message it in my sclp to help with my hair growth. n it depends which oils you use. i would never dream bout doing that with coconut or EVOO, its just too heavy for my hair.
