Default Perm?? Diffusser??

Hey im 13 and my hair is between straight and wavy. I love my hair when i use my curling tongs which creates cork-screw like curls but it takes forever and usually fall out. When people see my hair curly they compliment and say it looks great and i suit my her curly.
I find it boring when I use Straightners (a flat-iron) and i always prefer something different.
Im thinking about a perm. I don't wont my her to be 'too curly' just nice bouncy springs. not really tight but not really loose.

Please, Any ideas or recommendations would be GREATLY appreiciated.

Thanks

Steph x

Perms, (from what i know) usually make hair very wavy and on the verge of curliness. No matter what you do, perm or no perm, your never going to be able to achieve the perfect spiral look like you do with a curling iron. But, if you get a perm, use curl-enhancing products, use curl enhancing methods, and use a curling iron to just do touch ups, it will look really close, and last all day.
HTH :]

p.s.. I know you probably get this all the time from Americans, but its so cool you live in Liverpool! I'm a big beatles fan. wow, that sounded so touristly

I think a diffuser could be helpful. Diffusing can add curl and volume.

Hi. I find that using the Sedusa diffuser has helped define my curls alot. My hair seems much springier...

oh -sorry- do you think cheap diffussers are a big difference to the more expensive ones?
just because i want to see what effect they put on my hair so i just want to buy a cheap one to experiment

Actually I used to get spiral perms to even out my curl when it was long and my curls were real uniform and curly. I would just have them use a smaller rod than I actually wanted in curl size and as it sort of relaxed in a few weeks I'd have the curls I wanted.
My hair never holds curler curl either. I have to sleep on cloth curlers for that. Now I just go with my natural curl pattern but when I was about your age until 17 I used to either perm or sleep on rollers

If it smells good put it in your hair, if it tastes good spit it out!

No, I have a Sedusa which is expensive, but for me it doesn't do anything my cheap diffuser can't do.

...and for me, the expensive diffuser definitely works better than any of the cheaper ones I had in the past
