Hmmm I'll definitely have to get me some KC come clean and try this combo.

I did this just today with my clarifying low sulfate poo! Mixed with some EVOO! Sometimes I use Burt's bees nourishing baby oil (no mineral oil in it) instead of EVOO.

All the cleansing action of a clarifier, without all that pesky stripping! Lol!

Oil + Shampoo has quickly become a weekly staple! Dare I say it....gasp...I may stop purchasing As I Am CC...and just have 1 cleanser!!!!

No, no. I'm not ready for that sort of commitment.

My KC come clean shampoo should be in by this weekend.
I think I will try a combo of EVOO and coconut oil with it first and see how I like that. I shall report back.

I tried this today and my hair felt amazing. I'm doing this once a week to help with my silicone addiction

So I tried the KC come clean 55/45 with EVOO. I think next time I will definitely do a 50/50 mix. I did like the results though. My scalp felt nice and silky but the ends felt just a tad dry...that's why I'll do the 50/50 mix next time. Maybe that little bit of extra oil will do the trick. I do believe I will like the come clean shampoo though. I only low poo maybe once a week and either use a shampoo bar, cleansing conditioner or co-wash the rest of my wash days. I also like using shampoo bars with this method. What I did was..after rinsing and wetting my hair, I applied coconut or babassu oil to my hair (maybe a tablespoon or less?) and then immediately used the shampoo bar directly on my hair.rinsed, did an ACV rinse (not always), condition and style as usual...with wonderful results.

Wow, I see you have fine hair and you can handle oil on your scalp? Intriguing…may have to give this a try.

I tried mixing KC come clean with some coconut oil, with great results! Not stripping at ALL! I love that I only need a dab of come clean and a dab of oil to clarify my hair.

I looooove the coconut oil + shampoo method! It's my go-to Most days, I don't need any stylers after this!

No Stylers? Interesting. I remember having success with this method and minimal to no styling products. I'm going to revisit this next wash.

What's everyone's favorite combo? Which shampoo and which oil?

Just wanted to share (and so I can remember later)...
Tonight I clarified with a sulfate shampoo first (to get a fresh start) and then used a 50/50 mix of kinky curly come clean shampoo and coconut oil. I did add more oil to the lower half of my curls too and rinsed. I then spritzed with my vinegar/water mix and added TJ tea tree conditioner and let that sit a few minutes. Rinsed. Scrunched hair into turbie towel. Added a little coconut oil to ends, used a small amount of MD leave in, scrunched in some LALSG (normal amount), diffused to about 90%, air dried and scrunched. My hair feels very soft. It turned out really nice. Soft, shiny and I have nice definition and volume. My hair feels "light".
I think I will do this twice a week and co-wash or use my No Poo in between. I do remember liking doing this method with shampoo bars as well so I will alternate between shampoo bars and a low poo.

Does everyone else do this for every wash? How often do you wash with shampoo+oil?
Thanks.

This method worked so well for me before going CG! And I think I'm going back. I wouldn't even have to use a stronger shampoo like some others mentioned, I'd simply coat my hair in oil, and then shampoo as usual with my sulfate containing but very gentle shampoo.

I do this all the time. Its my hair routine but i add a great amount of conditioner in my hair as a leave in after rinsing it. Conditioner and a little oil is the great secret to soft curly hair <3

This is the best I could do. I'm horrible at taking pictures. I was trying to get good lighting to show the definition and shine. I did the same thing today (except I didn't clarify). I washed with KC come clean+coconut oil, TJ nourishing spa conditioner, sealed with coconut oil and used AOMM+BRHG as my stylers today over just a little GDLI. My curls are soft, shiny and defined...
