shoulder length hair

Does anyone have pics to look at who has shoulder length hair with layers?
I'm trying to figure out how I want my hair to be. It NEEDS fixing - no doubt about that. But I'm not sure how long the shortest layer should be.

In my first pictures, I would say that I have shoulder length hair with layers. My shortest layer is chin length, and I have heard that it is best not to cut them shorter (although now my hair is shorter, so are my layers..but whatever) I think chin length layers nicely frames the face.

In my pictures my hair is about shoulder length and layered. When it was first cut, if I pulled the longest layer straight it came to my chin. I was really afraid of layers, but I'm glad I got them - it gave my hair shape that it didn't have before.

YES!! That's what I want my hair to look like! What does it look like in the back? Does it round off or is it blunt across?
I'm so not happy with my cut right now. I tried telling the stylist to even everything up especially in the back and she said something about letting the shorter layers grow out and then she'll even it all up. That didn't make sense to me at all. Tonight I wacked off two curls in the back that were hanging so low - it looked like I had a wig on! My cutting made a blunt cut in the curls. I'm not going to do anymore myself. I"ll make things worse. I'm trying to get in with someone else to hopefully fix this but I don't know who to trust anymore.

I know, Darby, it's so hard to find someone you can trust to cut your hair. Some hairdressers, no matter how carefully you spell out exactly what you want, they still don't do what you ask. I never understand that. I've been going to the same woman off and on for years - I've kind of trained her

. Anyway, my hair is rounded in the back and that continues all the way around to my face. I think that gives it a softer, more blended look. When you do find someone to cut yours, I'd suggest telling her what you want in as many different ways as you can think of to say it. Good luck!

My stylist called me and had a cancellation next week so I'll get in earlier. I'm going to take some pictures to her and explain exactly what I want. I'm trying to take some pics of it (in the back) to show you guys and get opinions but my camera says MEMORY FULL. How can the memory be full when I've trashed all the pics that were on there?? Anyone know? I can't find the manual

She did tell me that I NEED to grow out the real short layers to longer ones to even it all out. Not to have it all one length but I've had some really bad cuts in the past and they cut really short layers all over. Soooo, I think I'll have to maybe go pretty short in the back to make it look half way even and decent looking right now. And just let it grow out and start over. I WISH my hair grew fast.
