Attn: Curly Hair Connoisseurs! I need your help!

I'm a college sophomore who's walking around campus everyday with a frizzy bun/ponytail and I'm tired of it! I think my hair has a lot of potential but I don't know what to do with it!

I have a detailed post in the 3c forum : http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlta...e-help-me.html

I would really appreciate any advice I can get!

Thanks!

Welcome! My hair was a hot mess for years until I discovered flat ironing. For once I could tame my mane and my hubby stopped calling me "Poodle-head."

A few years back I stumbled across this website and decided to stop the ironing and learn to care for my curls. My first step was to learn about the products I was using. Turns out that what I thought was helpful was adding to my frizz and creating more of a mess. Products with silicones were smoothing my curls for a short time but keeping moisture from getting in. I needed moisture badly to undo my heat damage and get my hair healthy. It took a lot of reading and experimenting to find a routine that worked for me.

There is a wealth of information on these boards. Read as much as you can and learn about products. Your first priority will be to get your hair moisturized and healthy. Here is a good link to start with: http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlta...tart-here.html

It can all be overwhelming at first. Don't get discouraged. Keep reading and asking questions. Things will fall into place and you'll see results!
