Should I buy Curl Keeper?
I have 3a/b fine/medium hair and I saw that Curl Keeper was buy one get one at CurlMart. I've seen people talking about it and was just wondering if I ought to shell out the $10 plus shipping for it?
Oh, and my hair is normal porosity and seems fairly elastic if that helps.

I tried Curl Keeper a couple months ago, and I have mixed feelings about it. For the record, I am mostly type 3b (some 3a), normal porosity, med/thick density. I used CK underneath my gel (so I put it on in between leave-in and gel). I bought it to get some extra frizz control, and I honestly didn't think it made a difference in my frizz. It did cause me to lose some volume also (I think it's the ingredient hydrocellulose that causes the volume loss). I personally like volume so I was sad to lose it, plus I was disappointed that my frizz seemed no different.
I've only tried it in the fall/winter months, so I am going to give it another try in summer when the dew point is higher. Many curlies swear by it in humid climates, so maybe it will show its value then. But in my limited experience, it really accomplished nothing for me.

My hair: 3b, corkicelli, medium porosity, medium texture, medium/thick density
Co-wash: DevaCurl NoPoo
Rinse-out: GVP Conditioning Balm
Leave-in: KCKT, Suave Naturals Coconut, or my rinse-out!
Gel: SS FHG (my new HG!!)... I also like HESMU, AIF, CJ CQ, BRHG, CJ PP and the occasional LALSG
Likes: Plopping!
Dislikes: Glycerin

Curl Keeper is totally my go product. By itself in winter, mixed with AG Re:coil in summer.
Here are some reviews of Curl Keeper.

I love CK in the summer months - like Jaclyn says, a lot of us like it in humid weather to control frizz and provide definition.

I just ordered a bottle of CK myself and if it helps lose volume than hooray I am all for it. I tried it yrs ago and wanted to retry it so I can't wait to try it again!

CK is part of my HG routine for awesome night out curls. I apply re:coil, comb in CK, scrunch in gel and diffuse. I haven't tried it when I air dry my hair, so I'm not sure if I would feel differently about it if I wasn't diffusing. I'm a 3a/2c combo with fine texture and thick density. I've actually seen more volume with this combo, but it could just be the diffuser.

Hair: 2a or 3a (not sure), very porous and fine as frog hair
Day 1: Cowash and condition with AO GPB, ACV Rinse,
Co-Kra gel (this stuff is fantastic)
Day 2: KCKT, KCCC, plop, KCCC, plop again, air dry
Day 3: Curly Kinks Satin Roots, Coil Jam
Day 4: IAGirl's PT, KBB DT, FSG
Co-Kra gel is my own concoction of okra boiled in coconut milk. It is a cross between FSG and KCCC and leaves my hair very soft and shiny

Thanks everyone! I went to go buy it and then realized shipping costs more than the price of the product, and as a starving college student I can't justify that much money haha. If I come into some cash I'll definitely look into buying it though!

The best place to buy CK is AveYou.com with their discount codes and $1 shipping over $50. They carry many other popular brands, too.
