Do you wash your hair in the morning or at night?
I've always washed my hair at night since its easier for me and then I do an overnight plop. No I'm thinking of washing in the morning since I've heard so many people only plop for like 20 minutes and maybe that will help my curls. The only problem is school and morning showers aren't exactly two things that go together for me so I would like to see when others wash their hair since I might to even need to shower in the morning

I wash my hair in the morning (I co-wash or wet my hair every day). I can't stand going to bed with wet hair and my hair looks like crap if I sleep on it, wet or dry.

In the evenings, after dinner. I shower while my husband puts our daughter to bed. Plop for about 30 min, then air dry until bed. Pineapple slightly damp, shake out and spritz in the mornings. Usually diffuse too.

I usually (but not always) wash my hair at night because I really don't like to leave the house with wet hair and washing it in the morning can make me feel rushed to be sure it's dry. (I mean I've washed it in the morning and it's been all right, but i find myself touching it throughout the morning to check if it's thoroughly dry, or if I missed a part.) As long as I do a really loose pineapple before going to bed, washing and diffusing it at night does fine for me.

I like my hair best when I've washed it the night before. However, I really, REALLY need a morning shower to get moving, so even if I have showered at night, I still take another one in the morning and use a shower cap. Something about the shower cap then totally wreaks havoc on my hair. So then I feel like I am better off just doing everything in the morning. I guess I could just try to me more careful and not use a shower cap and keep my hair from getting wet again!

I can't not shower in the morning, so I wash and style every morning. I went one day this week without showering (I'm a substitute teacher and I got called to be somewhere in half an hour) and I felt nasty all day, body and hair. I raced home after school and showered.

I wash in the morning, when I shower. Otherwise, like vanek07, I feel dirty all day, and I worry that I smell bad
My hair is very fine, and will air dry on the drive to work though.

I wash in the morning when I shower. I used to wash at night but sleeping with wet hair doesn't work for Me.

For some reason, whenever I wash during the day, my hair feels a lot more rough and dry. When I wash at night, I t-shirt turban for maybe 30 minutes (if I have to finish up some homework or something) and then go to bed. I throw my hair over the pillow then kind of mush it against my head, like plopping without the shirt because my hair would never dry if I actually plopped it over night. It always gives me super soft hair and pretty good curls! The only problem is sometimes, if I sleep a weird way, my curls can be kind of wild, and sometimes I don't get good root volume.
Does anyone know how to fix that? I'm still working on it :P

I have to wash in the morning; if I was at night, my weak wave pattern ends up getting kind of smooshed while I sleep so I end up having to put it up. Normally with how long it takes to do my hair though, I'll only do it if I wake up extra early.

I wash at night, detangle and braid. It's my to go style. I can jump out of bed and go. I usually wrap it into a braided bun. My favorite look.

I use to be a morning washer but after the past few days I think I'm officially a night washer convert. I'm not a morning person so I love being able to just get up and not have to shower, style my hair, and wait hours for it to dry.

i wash mine in the morning and get ready for work. Then I get the kids up to get them ready for school. By the time I get to work my hair is usually dry.

For nighttime washers: what's your preferred method of keeping curls in tact overnight; plopping or pineapple (wet or dry)?
I am getting fed up with my morning washing routine. Everyday, I have to leave for work with wet/damp hair. Even though it dries on my hour-long train commute, I'm sick of walking through the cold air with wet hair. (I live in San Francisco, we rarely have warm mornings or days).
In the past I've tried plopping overnight, with hair that was probably too wet and the results were bad. My hair dried close to my scalp and couldn't be coaxed into looking good. I often pineapple my dry hair overnight, but I can rarely achieve second day hair, even with a silk pillowcase or a hair bonnet. Help?

Class doesn't start until 1pm for me, so I wash and style in the mornings since I've got time. Although I really want to figure out a quick routine for mornings/overnight. I went to a conference last weekend and the lectures started at 8 (which meant you had to get to the center by 7:30 to get breakfast) and it was hectic trying to style in the morning as usual. I had to run out the door with damp hair and I felt really self-conscious about it.

I wash at night. I'll use a diffuser off and on for just a few minutes (during commercials!) if I need to hurry it up a bit. Can't stand going to bed damp. I'll pineapple overnight. In the morning, I take down the pineapple, spritz with water, scrunch in a little gel if necessary and I'm good to go.

I only wash 2, maybe 3 times a week. Mornings when I didn't wash the night before, I can hop into the shower with my hair still in the pineapple. My hair likes the steam. As long as I don't scrunch too much product in between washes, I can get several days out of the routine. My curls are often lifeless and clumps broken up by day three or four so it's messy bun time. During warmer weather, I wear my hair up a lot so that doesn't bother me.
