Default Wouldn't it be nice if Kinky-Curly made a mousse?

I wish KC made a mousse/foam with the hold of KCCC, for us wavies
Does anyone know if they already do or if they're going to?

Default oh how I wish...

that's brilliant!
I've just checked their site, and sadly no, they're not coming out with a mousse
I've be very interested in it though! Maybe all us curlies should write 1000s of letters to the company.... :P

Huh, didn't know that they sell a detangling brush... that's kind of cool.

SaraNoH, have you tried KCCC yet? You should give it a try when you get a chance. (I'm not in PHX yet so I can't offer to let you try mine, LOL!) If it doesn't work, you can most likely return it to where you bought it, or even sell it or swap it here.

I'm curious to know how it works in low-dewpoint PHX (I'm moving there in June...). I'm worried because here in SoCal, when dewpoints are "Optimal" I use a leave-in, plus a moisturizing curl creme, and all my other curl creams that work, besides KCCC, have glycerin If you do try KCCC, let me know what you think!

I'll take any and all tips! Your hair looks beautiful and bouncy in your avatar.

Actually I have . I just bought some last week and am working out the kinks (pun intended) in using it.
I'm in Tucson, so I definitely know how dry Phoenix can get. What I like about the Kinky Curly line is that there's no funky ingredients or glycerin.

So far I've had just average results with KCCC. It's acting like any other gel I've used before, but I'll keep at it! I have problems with root lift, and I know mousse can give me crazy volume (but stringier curls), so if Kinky Curly made a mousse I'd totally buy it.

Mousse with the hold of kccc....

I wonder if that's even chemically possible?? Mousse seems to have a light hold, no? KCCC dries with a firmer hold but that's because of the pectin and agave.

Even foam stylers don't seem to have much of a hold...see you're making me wonder now!

I have found a couple of stronger hold mousses. But I've never tried KCCC so I can't do a comparison. I've always only been able to use mousse for 2nd day hair because I don't get the same level of hold and curl definition, but last week I tried TIGI Curls Rock Strong Hold Mousse and had amazing results with it. It has a water-soluble cone if you're particular about that, but it's CG.

ETA- it does have propylene glycol near the end of the ingredient list, but no glycerin.

It would be nice if they made a mousse! I like KCCC most days although get bad results some days. I like Herbal Essence's Tousle Me Softly mousse a lot, but sadly it just doesn't let my hair make it all the way through a day, even with BRHG over top. Today I tried a new combo... HETMS mousse, BRHG, and then later I SOTC'ed with Kinky Curly's spiral spritz. So far so good!!! We'll see if it lasts the day. If so, that combo may be my KC mousse until they make one.

I tried Spiral Spritz before because it is made for wavy hair, but it didn't really work for me. A mousse would be great! I just called, actually, to see if a mousse was in the plans. Maybe if enough of us called, a mousse could be a possibility? (Or they'd get really annoyed...hopefully not, though, because I love KC!!)

Anyway, here is the number:

I know others need it for other questions as well. So...yeah! Haha

I didn't really like KCCC but I do love the spiral spritz. If KC made a mousse I'd totally try it.

Seriously, with all of these re-formulations and everything that's ticking everyone off, if everyone on NC called the company and revolted they'd be sure to change. Nothing like an angry hoard of curlies screaming for blood. Over hair products.

I agree, their spiral spritz really does nothing for me either. Overall another disappointing purchase. It's been reduced to occasionally helping me scrunch out the crunch, just in case it happens to help.

Eeek! I haven't heard about formulation changes. What's changed! I just might be joining the Curly Villagers plunging forth wielding duckbill clips and flaming sleep bonnets.

Finally I find a couple products I can rely on...reformulation-paranoia kicks in...

I love the Spiral Spritz as a refresher, as long as dew points aren't too low. Otherwise the glycerin makes my hair like straw. I don't find the spritz to be an effective styler, either, but I do love it to SOTC. The spritz really helps keep the frizz away after the custard is dry, too. It's funny, I wasn't crazy about the custard or the spritz when I first used them, but, 5-6 months into CG, Knot Today and the custard became the perfect products for what my hair wants now.

Because I love this line, I would definitely try a mousse if they made one. Usually mousses are terrible for me, but Kinky-Curly's ingredients are so different from those in most product lines, I would think their mousse would be unique.
