Smile The "Night Owl" Technique--what works for me

I have a technique that always works really well for me, so I just thought I'd share.

It used to be tricky for me finding the best time to wash/wet my hair. I realized the best time now is right before bed because I can just sleep without messing with my hair and making it frizz. Here is what I do:

1. Wash and condition as normal.
2. Apply a LOT of styling product.
3. Scrunch with hands or a t-shirt.
4. Go to bed and throw you hair over the pillow.
5. "Mush" your curls lightly against your head. (not exactly as smushed as plopping but to encourage curl formation)
6. Get a good night's sleep and SOTC when you wake up.

It always gives me great curls without me having to mess with it!

I think I'll try this tonight and see how it goes. I've done night-washes before, but plopped, then did a wet pineapple. Stingier curls, but curls none the less if I don't have time in the morning.

I have tried plopping and pineappling before, but they gave me weird curls
With this, my hair gets a curl going but stays more natural looking.

Hope it works for you!!

I take it your hair doesn't get weird around the roots when you do this? Mine tends to when I go to sleep with it wet.

Actually, my hair gets root curl, which never happens when I let it airdry during the day(:

Yeah, I don't get root curl from air drying either, but sleeping on it smushes it against my head and makes it get oddly angular? I don't know.

Glad you've found something that works for you, though!
