Default AVG - Lily of the Desert

So I've been on the hunt for some aloe vera gel. I finally picked some up at my health food store, though it's not the FOTE brand. The brand on this one is Lily of the Desert. Is this still ok to use on the hair? Mixing with FSG? Making your own hail gel (non-FSG)?

I would say check the ingredients. If it is pure AVG then it is ok for all the above uses. If it has other ingredients, then it depends on what the other ingredients are.

It's mostly thickeners and preservatives. The front of it says 99% aloe Vera gel.

It should be fine. I wouldn't hesitate to use it.

Lily of the Desert (LOTD) is a very popular brand of AVG. Some people recommend it over FOTE

FOTE is inexpensive and easy to find at Walmart, but I found that it didn't give me the same results as a more expensive brand I found at Whole Foods (can't remember the name off the top of my head). LOTD has been mentioned many times here and people seem to have great results with it. As TOI said, many prefer it over FOTE.
