Different textures
So, I just started CG about two weeks ago and so far I am really happy with the results. Today I decided to shower and airdry without any products at all to see the progress. Thus far I have classified myself as a 2c/3a but today I found random spirals and a lot of 3b and maybe even 3c curls. Is it possible my curl type could be changing? Here are some pics:
Is this normal, just a part of CG or is this uncommon. Please excuse my weird faces btw. And also, am I wrong about the curl type?
Thank you

I alternate use of products and use both Shampoo and Conditioner daily. Have been mod- CG for approx. 5 months. Straighten aprox once every 2 weeks. Thinking of going full CG.

Your hair looks very similar to mine. When I started CG I thought my hair was a definite 3b, but as I've been going alone my curl has gotten looser and softer, and now I'm much more 3a. I think it's pretty common for your curl type to change while going CG, so I wouldn't worry.
FYI, "texture" is actually referring to the thickness of each strand--fine, medium, coarse, more so than the curl pattern. However, commonly in the straight-haired friendly fashion world "texture" means any curl/not straight hair. But for us, it's the properties of each strand.

I'm glad you said this. I was watching a YouTube video of someone getting their hair recurled with different sized curling irons. The stylist kept saying how he was adding different textures to her (chemically straightened curly) hair.

First of all, I love your hair TangledTori! I've experienced a similar thing myself since going CG, in that my underlayer which was slightly wavy, has become curlier and blends in with my 3a top layer now, which makes me very happy!

Learning to use products and techniques on nc.com has really helped my curls. I went from winter wavy/summer 3a to hair like my signature picture all year around.

Thank everybody for their input and for the information on the terms. I thank you for informing me. I appreciate the compliments but I know I still have a long say to go. If my hair turns out half as good as most of yours, Ill be extremely happy.
Thanks again,
Tori
