Default I did it. I straightened my hair. *gasp*

I can't remember the last time I actually straightened my whole head. I might have straightened it at least once since January, but even before I went CG, I wasn't straightening it hardly at all anymore. I got lazy. I have to blow dry it straight and then go over it with a straightener.

After I only blow dried.

After I used my flat iron.

So I totally love my curls over my flat ironed hair. I think I look better curly. I also did not like the GVP heat protecting spray. It made my hair extremely tangly. :/

I like seeing people flat iron their hair. I get my 'fix' that way. I haven't straighten mine since Nov '10. Doubt i'll ever do it again. Your hair is cute but I won't lie, in my opinion your hair is way more gorgeous curly

Thanks. I get told by a lot of people my hair looks better straight. Most of the time it's from straight haired people or people who flat iron themselves. I think it looks healthier in its natural state. I can definitely tell a difference. I don't like how my ends look, though this could be the products I used. Since my hair is so fine I get a lot of split ends and breakage when I straighten too much. I just don't understand how people like the look of fried hair better than healthy natural hair.

Oh, I've been wanting to see how well I did with cutting my own hair too. This is another reason I wanted to straighten it tonight (a coworker wanted to see too). I cut my hair last weekend (sorta like an inverted bob...barely.) I think it was more of a trim. The back is a bit shorter than my front.

I straightened mine chemically many decades ago. It was awful, awful, awful, like broom straw. Never again!

Same here. As I was having it done, I was regretting it! The growing out process was equally awful as my hair was in terrible condition, but if it taught me one thing, now I have my curls back, I'll never take them for granted ever again!

Your hair looks nice straight Beeduh, but as others have said, it looks gorgeous curly!

Thanks everyone. :]

When I was younger, I wanted to have my hair chemically straightened. I'm glad I never did it. I like the fact I'm able to straighten it if I really want to and it stays like that (unless it rains). I do think my curly hair is easier and quicker. It took around an hour to an hour and a half to dry and straighten (though I can get at least 3 days out of it) where as it takes 30 minutes (give or take) for my curly hair.

I straighten my hair once every two months or so, and although I like how sleek and shiny it looks and how I can actually comb my fingers through it, it makes me feel so boring! Haha. Then again my hair used to look like this

I love a straight break now and then. I think were lucky to be able to change it as we want to! I knew this week was going to be incredibly busy, we had a death in the family and the last thing I wanted to think about was my hair. So, on Monday I straightened my hair, and all I needed to do in the morning is run a wide tooth comb through it. When I shower it goes into a shower cap, and I can get 4+ days of fuss free hair! I'll be goig back to wavy today, I do miss my waves.

Beeduh, you did a great job straightening! It a nice change, isnt it? Your hair looks nice and healthy. I agree with everyone else, I love your curls!

Cute. I like volume. And I don't get a lot of volume when I straighten it. I agree that it's boring. My hair doesn't feel silky today either. It could be the products I used. I get more compliments when I straighten it than when I wear it curly. :/

Yeah, isn't that the worst! Most people don't comment on my hair everyday, but if I straighten it suddenly a whole bunch of people say stuff like "oh my god your hair looks so good! You should do this every day!" and it's like ugh do you think my hair looked ugly before or

I think people just like to comment on differences ... I used to get compliments when I straightened my hair a few years ago. But I had one particular friend who would say something every single time I wore it wavy, haha.

I agree...I like to believe it is just because it looks different, which causes people to pay attention!

I work at a daycare. Since I haven't worn it straight in forever all the kids' reactions today were "You got your hair cut", "You got your hair lighter.", "You brushed your hair down.", "Why is your hair like that?". A few years ago, I had one little girl say "Mrs. Beeduh, You brushed your hair today." when I wore it straight. That cracked me up.

It amazes me how everyone asks if I've lightened my hair. I have to explain that the light reflects differently on curly hair, so it appears darker than it really is. One of my coworkers told me she prefers my hair straight. I was joking with her about her not liking my curly hair and she said she guesses she likes my hair straight because she has straight hair herself.

Explaining the science of hair drains energy. I just give them my 'look' and either change the subject or walk away

Lol. I try to make things simple. But I know my coworkers think I'm crazy. Especially with all of my "green", "homemade", and "no-poo" obbsessions.

I don't talk about it unless someone asks me a specific question and even then I try to get straight to the point. Now with my mom I ramble on and on about everything hair related. Want to hear the funny part: she doesn't care about hair at all! When my hair is looking awesome I ask her and she'll say "i guess. It always looks nice to me" or when I think it looks awful she'll say "your hair looks good today" MOM!! Lol i'll tell about all the different products/techniques I'm trying and she'll just say "oook"

I'm close to the people I work with. I normally talk about different things I'm trying or making. I try not to go into too much detail. Everytime I ask someone how my hair looks they normally tell me it looks the same. I did get asked why my hair was getting shorter. I'm like "hello! it's curlier. Duh."
